Just wanted to mention that Google's logo just changed to H.G.Wells B-day.

Remember I mentioned this when they had the logo of crop circles, and before that it was aliens.

H.G. Wells -- "War of The Worlds."

...........just an observation.....

I notice that too - The man who made people freak out (think the world will end!) VS. Everyone who thinks he is passed away(Major Genious-Planned in the Beginning) - that is going to be a major change in History of Hoaxes in this ... I so thinking right now ...

Very cool. I saw the google logo and didn't bother to click on and see what it meant. I can't recall if it was this site or another but a poster made a pretty good comment about MJ's hoax.

I am paraphrasing..."MJ's hoax will make War of the Worlds look like a late night informercial". I thought that was a clever statement.

Ok...don't shoot me...I want to continue this story Wink

I read a bit about H.G. Wells....and I tripped up on another name...sounds similar..
George Orwell....he reviewed sometimes H.G. Wells

look here:
http://jch.sagepub.com/cgi/content/abstract/39/1/45
http://www.orwell.ru/library/reviews/wells/english/e_whws

and I want to add that Orwell wrote "1984"...a very famous novel about "Big Brother is
watching you" ..I think you know what I mean..if not, than read here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-Four

this novel was filmed by a director who's name is Orson Welles...
sounds like a mix between Orwell and Wells *lol*
but I think this is really a coincidence....

and finally I want to mention that George Orwell was born in June 25th 1903....
106 years later..MJ died....so we have 1+0+6 = "7"...the 7 theory...

Besides "1984" Orwell wrote the so called "Penguin essays"
that reminds me of the "penguin move from MJs TTI -tour" *lol*

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Penguin-Essays-Twentieth-Century-Classics/dp/0140188037

don't be mad at me.....sometimes my mind drives me crazy....

9/20 GOOGLE -- H.G. Wells Lol

I was actually poking around searching for Orson Welles, HG Wells and War of the Worlds related things as well. Welcome to the madhouse!

1984 was directed by Orson Welles? I'm sure that there have been several versions and he might have directed one. If so...Orson Welles is the same man who narrarated the October 30, 1938 radio broadcast of War of the Worlds. The narraration brought him notoriety and launched his career as an actor and later as a director.

Very interesting...

Orwell made the 1st movie about that:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-Four

after that:
Adaptations
Nineteen Eighty-Four, the 1954 BBC Television programme
1984, the 1956 film
Nineteen Eighty-Four, the 1984 film
1984, a 2005 opera

Another quote:
Specific literary influences include Darkness at Noon and The Yogi and the Commissar by Arthur Koestler; The Iron Heel (1908) by Jack London; Brave New World (1932) by Aldous Huxley; We (1921) by Yevgeny Zamyatin, which Orwell read in French and reviewed in 1946;[24] and The Managerial Revolution (1940) by James Burnham, predicting permanent war among three totalitarian superstates, broadly equivalent to those in Nineteen Eighty-Four. Orwell told Jacintha Buddicom that he would write a novel stylistically like A Modern Utopia by H. G. Wells.

We've come full circle Smile
