I dont know why he would disguise it...Michael's voice is some sort of "trademark" (sorry cant find another word) in the music industry. His soft voice in his songs is what the fans have heard, so that's how he projects at interviews, etc. However in some songs his voice is not that soft (2000 watts, This time around) for example.

OMG!!! I love how he changes his voice in the last video! I listen to that so many times...it's so beautiful...I'll never get enough of it...

By the way, did anyone noticed this?

I also read this article in the "News Of The World" right after the "death". They did a 3 part special with David Gest.

I don't think the idea is inconvicable. I know that I have a different voice when I am at work to when I am hanging out with my friends. When I am at work my voice is more sweet so to speak because when working with the public you have to be more professional.

However, when I am with friends I am more myself and probably much more common!

@Rachel - yes, it happens to all of us I guess. My voice is soft in certain situations, especially when among strangers, but it can change if I'm with people I know or that I feel confident with.

i agree with some of you all; when i'm around people i'm comfortable with, my voice is a little lower. but when i'm with people i'm just meeting or don't know that well, it tends to go higher.

That's my one of my favorite interviews with him in it

I love the 2000 watts voice too. The high-pitched voice was his trademark but the deeper one was a much welcomed surprise.

I caught that too. I am wondering if he meant the memorial? Probably. He didn't say "burial"....

The reason why I dont think MJ put on the soft voice is because he has had it from when he was a teenager when he was still with the Jacksons.

I doubt very much he planned on using a soft voice as his public voice all the way back then, also if you watch all of the home videos he shared with us, in every single one of them he always has the soft voice. If it was just a public voice I would think that around his family he would use his regular deep voice if that was his normal voice.

I think personally that MJ's voice was soft and high pitched but he could bring out the deep voice by choice when he wanted to, and also maybe his voice did deepend a little over the years.

Michael is a master when working with different pitches of his singing voice. I'm certain that he can create equal range within his speaking voice. There is a video that was posted here and it showed MJ working with his voice coach. I am not a singer and was amazed at the voice and throat exercises that singers go through to mazimize and protect their voices.

I don't think it was put on-if it was it was not full put on. Because even in speeches like the "angry black man" speech that NO ONE EVER SAW till it hit youtube-he had his soft voic. In all the private home videos it was soft. There are moments when it is deeper but he could do that on purpose I am sure-like when he does the second part for "in the closet". That is a long long time to fake a voice. Maybe it was not AS HIGH in private-I dunno.
