Ideas for a 4-5 minute Powerpoint Presentation

Hi, everyone.

In my Computer Class, we're doing 4-5 minute slideshows on the topic
of our own choices and I wanted to do mine on Michael Jackson, but I am
trying to decide between just doing a slideshow ONLY about how MJ has
inspired me or a mix of how he has inspired me and at the same time I'd
be explaining how the media was way wrong in their opinions on him and
how he was "crucified" by the press, in a manner of speaking and how
people shouldn't believe everything the media says (including examples
of how tabloids lie about a lot of things, etc).
Can you guys give me some input? I am also in the process of
compiling a list but I wonder what can all be said in 4-5 mins, in a
nutshell (I tend to, as a novel writer, go overboard with these things
lol and I don't want to go over the time limit). I am aware of the 1993
trial, 2005 trial, the fabrications MJ made about owning Elephant Man's
bones and sleeping in an hyperbaric chamber, just to "PUNK" the press,
his vitiligo causing his skin to change; how the press hated on him for
his success, in possible jealousy, etc.

5 minutes to convince non-knowers and non-believers of what was wrong in the public eye?

If you want to see examples, check out the Youtube videos.
Then you will notice that you have to concentrate on one topic to get that one across.
If you want to cover all, you will get lost in a lifetime and be not convincing at all to your class.

Take one topic, think of what you want to say as a last sentence and build the slideshow backwards from that. Remember that if you have to speak about your slides, you have 3 minutes per slide.
If you don't speak but just play the slideshow, you can have more slides. But don't overload them, 3 subtopics or statements per slide are enough "food".
Add pictures and comment on them if you like to get the public where you want them.

And if you want to be brilliant, make some funny unexpected turn-out as the last slide.

Easy..media.

Prior to MJ, 'media was the message'. Wiki Canadian Professor Marshall McCluan, very famuos, respected media theorist.
Prof McCluan was 'media theorist' who made 3 primary observations:

1) media is the message
2) the future is the present
3)global village

Above points 1+2+3 evolved together to become 'infotainment'. That is, information sold as enertainment; see MJ observation, "good news does not sell".

MJ bucked this global phenonmenon of 'infotainment' and as MJ promised, he took 'medium' to new levels (MJ revelations still not complete but enough for 5 min PP)

1) use MJ death hoax examples to illustrate media reports false info, then media reports corrections to false info, then corrects the corrections, etc=joke= like MJ autopsy results, like good/bad docs, LAPD/DEA/no arrests, media prints pics of 'criminal Dr. Murrary driving around in his convertible Benz (or whatever)
2)L.O.V.E._ MJ taught us to appy these tenents to EVERYTHING we read, see, hear
3) global forums-fans cross-pollinating information, global unity between MJ fans, MJ death hoax investigation brought people TOGETHER for a common productive purpose whereas 'infotainment' SPLITS people apart=social darwinism

information versus entertainment=anti-thesis
MJ methodologies=synthesis on global scale

Result=Mj changed the way GLOBAL SOCIETY views media medium FOFREVER. MJ bucked the system and brought about an irrevocable change in 'media theory' with enduring multilevel positive social benefits.

MJ was brilliant thinker; MJ way beyond formal education Phd, naturally gifted unique individual and brought about social change. Think about it, all this from one individual. Kinda takes your breath away!

Thanks for your inputs. I appreciate it a lot. I want to make sure I cover all (well maybe not ALL within a 4-5 min limit, but most) bases of MJ's innovative and humanitarian contributions to society and the music industry and abroad.

I decided that my topic will be about how we can't believe everything media tells us and how that is related to Michael Jackson; how they lied on him ,too, using the points you both made. Thanks again.
