Can someone explain this to me? 2012 quote from Streisand?

The second story down is about some lawyers arguing about about the will and at the end of the article there is a wierd, seemingly unrelated quote from Stresiand saying "As far as I've been told, '2012' is just a fantasy."

What?? Makes no sense to me.

Some think that the mayans believed that the world would end in 2012 because their Calendar only went up to 2012 but hey mine only goes to the end of 2009. So what she is saying is the 2012 world ending thing is fantasy and not based in any reality at all. The 2012 movie is also fantasy

They also said a world crash would happen when the year 2000 rolled around and nothing happened.

If 2012 really was a big deal then it would have been discussed many yrs ago...Im not saying I dont think anything will happen, but I think people shouldnt base the end of the world purely based on an extinct "tribe" of people.

I am soooo glad that you brought that frenzied time up. By all reports, we should not be here since death doom and destruction was expected back then. Plus 1984 was supposed to be another end of the world date. In 2012, I think that all will be safe.
