Extreme Airbrushing In Pictures Of TII

Post by Fight For Troot on Sun Nov 22, 2009 7:11 am

In my possession I have both an undoctored picture of Michael with Darryl Phinnessee, as he raps in the Black Or White segment of the rehearsals. I also have the This Is It companion album, which features a heavily airbrushed, edited, Photoshopped and doctored version of the same picture. Darryl Phinnessee is for some reason removed from Michael's side, and the strain in Michael's face is airbrushed out.

Why does this matter, you may ask? Celebrities are airbrushed all the time.

But it matters because this is one of the pictures where, even with fillers and botox, we can see how gaunt he is. Without the work of Arnold Klein we would see the true strain he was under, and it would have made his appearance on Horaldo look tame in comparison.

Michael wasn't being helped. You can sit there and talk about 2012, but if you put aside Hollywood blockbusters for a second, and look at the facts, you will see that a man has been left to suffer.

This man had no needlemarks on any inch of his body.

When he was taken to hospital his body was covered in them. His veins had collapsed.

This was a father. A brother. A son.

A human being.

If he is alive, it isn't to come back. It's to escape, because he was going to die.

Of couse, we can only hope... and pray.

If the images appear distorted, highlight them and they should fix up.

If you're using Google Chrome, right click the image you want to see and press 'Open in new tab'.

Wow! I'm quite shocked by that, why would they do that and why did they photoshop Darryl Phinnessee out the picture
And why airbrush it, that above picture looks good as it is!

Maybe people will finally realize that's the reason it seems like there are doubles, triples, sextuplets, lol. Hollywood is all an illusion. I happen to think he was seriously underweight and it makes me really sad. I just hope he's resting up and feeling healthy and happy right now.

But we mustn't forget that he was nearly 51 years old. I don't know of any guy who looks as good as this at that age in the before photo's. Thats the trouble, all the photo's you see of all the celebrities have been airbrushed so much if you meet them in the flesh close up it would probably be a huge shock and disappointment. I agree that he will probably not be coming back but I do not agree that he was really sick-to me he looks good for a guy of 50. I think is best to bow out and retire while you still look relatively good and what better way to get some of the love and admiration you had 20 odd years ago and to live in peace without the media always trying to seek you out than to "die", also I may be slammed for this but we do not know of his finances however much we discuss and speculate but we do know there were many who took advantage and he did give huge amounts to charities so again what better way to live out the rest of your life very financially secure with the sales rocketing than to "die".

You cannot tell someones health by how slim they are, Look at the old photo's of Michael and you will see he was very slim then. My Husband is really slim but is fit and healthy and can run faster than I can cycle, for long distances too. Am not saying Michael was not 100% fit but the media were insinuating he was on his last legs about to die at any time but I do not think that was true.

I agree with HarleyBlonde.
He was 51, and I don't find he looks bad for a man his aged on the real picture. If he looks bad, it's only because we have the photoshoped one as a comparison. Any photoshoped picture makes the reality ugly in comparison.
Being 49, I also know what crude light can do to you, even when your are healthy. You look sick or tired even when you're not. So I can't see that picture as an evidence he was not well.
Even in good health and with surgery, he couldn't look 20 anymore. Getting older in public must be an awful thing, and I think that might have been one of the very good reasons he had to disappear.

Go back and look at the Horaldo interview before the court appearance in 2005.

Now, imagine that but a lot worse.

It's only fillers and botox hiding it.

Well the thin part doesn't bother me. I mean have you seen marathon runners?? They are skin and bones but have huge strenght and power and they are healthy and young. Michael has always been thin. He was thin as a teenager but had a fuller face but that is normal being young. The reason why some people freak out when seeing him is because of his jawline and it makes them think he was unhealthy. When he got older and aged his jawline became more front and center in his face ..if you combine that with a small face it may look weird. Not to me though. But nonetheless I have no idea if he was healthy or not but just concluding this on his weight or face is completely factless.

How do you see that picture as the truth? It's hard to tell in a picture, the lighting might be bad, they could catch him in a funny position, etc. I know a bit about photography and it's hard to tell how a person looks by a picture. Heck, there's pictures of myself that I look like total crap, but I don't look like that in real life! Yes, they did airbrush the picture to make him look better, I won't deny that. But how can that be evidence that he was very ill? I don't understand that... scratch

None of us were at rehearsals, or at the house on June 25th. We don't know what Michael really looked like. The only ones that know are the people who were with him. They very well could be covering things up. How do you we know if he was riddled with needle marks? You can't believe everything the media tells us. I don't think there's a way to know if he was or not. I don't believe you can judge how ill he is/was by a picture. but I could be wrong. scratch confused

This whole thing makes me scratch confused

I think it is a combination of bad light (can make Angelina J look bad) and the fact that he is 50 years old. He does look good and as one poster above said a photoshoped picture in comparison with a unphotoshoped version is unfair to compare with.

Just because Michael's thin doesn't mean he isn't heathy. I know of a grand prix rider who is VERY thin. She looks anorexic thin. You can see her bones. but she gets on several horses a day and jumps around jumper courses on extremely hyper/energetic crazy horses, which require a lot of strength to control them and be safe. She does this for a living! Every year I see her, she looks thinner, but she's still alive!

Here's a example of how she looks: l

I don't see that picture as evidence that Michael is dead. I don't see it as evidence that he's sick or unhealthy either. confused scratch

Yes I find Michael looks tired and he has thus a tender slender face, his wonderful ones look unhappy.

Sorry but I don't believe he was sick and frail simply because this pic
was airbrushed. My dad is in his fifties and his face has aged in a
similar way (the skin stretches and hangs a bit, nothing abnormal).
Beside,
the doubles used in TII (yes I do believe there were doubles) had to be
younger because no many 50 year old are going to dance and look like MJ
does. I believe this is the real MJ in this pic, if this is airbrushed
it was done so in order to keep the illusion and make all MJs in TII
look alike.
This is my opinion

My thoughts.

MJ was too thin, in my opinion. But I do not think that thin = unhealthy. Do I know for a fact that he was healthy? No. But neither does anyone else who doesn't know him and wasn't there.

MJ's photos have been photoshopped for years. This isn't new. Look at his face on the left below. His face is very thin here. And granted, the photo on the right is not from the same day, but they are definitely the same time period. And while (I think) MJ looks great in the unretouched photo, it's not out of the norm for them to have tried to fill in and smooth out his face.

I don't see any photoshop work as an evidence of anything given the fashion is to photoshoping and editing every single picture they publish, especially when it comes to promoting an artist.
Surely he would look worse without the botox. Skinny people look older sooner, but that doesn't mean anything about their health. The picture in itself, especially with that kind of lighting, cannot prove anything.

yesterday I watched History concert and he looks normal there, not thin not fat, just normal..
yes, he was slim in his twenties but later his body changed. check it out ..I don't know, for example in 1997..in TII he's changed a lot..and it doesn't look good, to me he looks very bad there..like a skeleton..and there should be a reason of it. I know this sounds cruel but that's the truth, you have to face that smth was wrong. don't be blind people.
