We may wonder about this article since it was posted Feb 5, 2011 for the first time, got cited on several forums and then diappeared all of a sudden - just to be reposted with some modifications on Feb 7, 2011.

This is the cited version on mjjc from Feb 5:

HOUSTON – The embattled doctor who is facing criminal charges in the death of music icon Michael Jackson was visiting patients in Houston Saturday.

At Acres Homes medical clinic, patients filled the clinic’s small lobby Saturday and welcomed each other long before the doctor was in. But when Dr. Conrad Murray arrived, he got the got the warmest welcome.
"What do you say Doc!" said one patient. "I’m running late to be here for you. I got to go to the Super Bowl, but I couldn’t miss seeing you."

Dr. Murray embraced his room full of patients and admitted the wait had only begun.

"I will try to get you all out of here as soon as possible, it may take a little while," said Murray. "I don’t know what problems you have, but we will get to them all."

With that, Murray, who attended college at Texas State University and has practiced in Acres Homes since 2006, began his work
In addition to criminal charged, Murray faces a civil wrongful death lawsuit filed by Joe Jackson, a case where a presiding judge already suspended the doctor’s license to practice in California.Patients waited and couldn’t help but wonder if, amidst all of Murray’s legal troubles, they’ll be able to keep one of the few doctors they have.

"We have no clinic, per se, and he came into the community willing and ready to work, " said Charles Ingram, an employee at Acres Homes.

Ingram worried that because a judge in California suspended Murray’s medical license, the same thing could happen in Texas.

"We need him," said Ingram.

After some fact-checking, 11 News found that Texas’ medical board tends to wait for the outcome of a trial before deciding whether to suspend or revoke a doctor’s license.

"Medical boards in Nevada and Texas are watching to make certain that there’s no challenge and no problem with the public health," said Charles Peckham, Murray’s lawyer. Peckham said that before the case involving Jackson, Murray never had a complaint filed with any medical board and never faced a malpractice lawsuit.

"He’s a magnificent doctor. That’s the reason I’m here today," said Curtis Lewis, one of his patients.

Despite criminal charges and a lawsuit against him, Murray’s patients are loyal and realistic.

"We’d be up a creek without a paddle," said Ruby Mosley.

The patients know if Murray loses his case, they could lose him.

It's amazing to see this video immediately after attorneys talk that Murray did not attend yesterday's hearing why he was very busy serving their patients in Hounston and Las Vegas.
No doctor survives with only 4 patients!
Do not know if he's a doctor ... I heard one of these blogs that he could be a military doctor ... but whatever. Embarassed

I was wondering if and when Texas and Nevada would yank his medical license. Seems they're doing the fair thing by awaiting the results of the trial, unlike California.

I wonder if that video in the article is going to be a scene from the movie, LOL. And if those "patients" are actually actors...

Interesting correlation when I wikipedia'ed his name Curtis Lewis.

Curtis Reginald Lewis (August 29, 1918, Fort Worth, Texas – May 23, 1969, Kew Gardens, New York), American composer of popular songs, many of which have become jazz standards. He grew up in Chicago and came to New York City in the 1940s. Lewis subsequently became one of the first black composers and lyricists to own a music publishing company on Broadway in the early 1950s.

Having served in the United States Army during World War II (from August 22, 1942, discharged as a Staff Sergeant December 2, 1945), the body of Curtis Reginald Lewis was interred at the Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.

Living Legend Ruby Mosely
Written By: Staff Writer 1-24-2011 Categorized in: Community, Culture/History

Ruby Lee Sanders MosleyHOUSTON—The City of Houston will recognize Ruby Lee Sanders Mosley for her commitment and service to the Acres Homes community by renaming the Acres Homes MSC Auditorium in her honor. This celebratory recognition will take place in the Auditorium of the Acres Homes Multi-Service Center on Feb. 5 at 11 am.

Mosley was born in Mexia, TX, on April 25, 1929 to Willie and Rosie Bell Standmire-Sanders. She attended Prairie View A&M University and moved to Houston in 1948. She became a licensed beautician from Franklin Beauty College, and was later trained in community organizing by Alex Branch, a former community leader in Acres Homes.

For 18 years, she worked as a Health Coordinator, advocating to provide water, sewer and other city services in the rural areas of Houston that only had outhouses.

In 1982, she worked tirelessly as a City of Houston Community Service Supervisor to provide essential services for the senior citizens and children of the Cuney Homes Housing Development, and established a school for the children living there. The school was later named in her honor.

In 1995, she retired from the City of Houston and has since served full time as a dedicated community leader; working for children, adults and senior citizens of Acres Homes.

(Ruby Mosely and State Rep. Sylvester Turner at Acres Homes’ centennial celebration.)

Mosely was integral in the design and building of the Acres Homes Multi-Service Center, the Acres Homes Public Library and the HPD Command Station. She serves on the Old Acres Homes Citizen Council, the Acres Homes Multi-Service Center Community Advisory Board and the Police Positive Interaction Program Board (PIP).

She has been an active member of the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church for 60 years.

Affectionately called the “Mayor of Acres Homes,” she believes that if other neighborhoods in the city can have grand amenities, Acres Homes deserves the same. Her amazing dedication and unselfish deeds to the Acres Homes community will impact this city for years to come.

Yes, this is how it looked on Google (see link below)- the link was dead by the time I saw it late Feb. 5. If you click on it now it sends you to the News 11 link that says the article was posted Feb. 7, which is a LIE. The original link from Google Feb. 5 even shows the part of the interview they took out - "What do you say, Doc? I'm running late to be here for you..." And the quote is completed in the version captured on mjjc - "I got to go to the Super Bowl, but I couldn't miss seeing you." One of the posters on mjjc made a comment about how expensive it was to get tickets to the Super Bowl, and how did Murray's "poor" patients get these tickets (and then travel the 4 or 5 hours from Houston to Arlington, TX where they had the Super Bowl). Is this why they had to yank the original article and revise it?

At Acres Homes Medical Clinic, patients filled the small lobby and welcomed each other long before the doctor was in. But when Dr. Conrad Murray arrived, he got the warmest welcome of all.

Dr. Murray embraced his room full of patients and admitted the wait had only begun.

In addition to criminal charges, Murray faces a civil wrongful death lawsuit filed by Joe Jackson—a case where a presiding judge already suspended the doctor’s license to practice in California.

Patients waited and couldn’t help but wonder if, amidst all of Murray’s legal troubles, they’ll be able to keep one of the few doctors they have.

"We have no clinic, per se, and he came into the community willing and ready to work," said Charles Ingram, an employee at Acres Homes Medical Clinic.

Ingram worried that because a judge in California suspended Murray’s medical license, the same thing could happen in Texas.

If you go to this link and watch the video -

http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2009/11/exclusive-dr-conrad-murray-treats-seven-patients-first-day-back

They used the beginning of that video from Nov. 2009 to introduce their new video they say is from Feb. 5, 2011 or Feb. 7 or whatever.

http://www.khou.com/news/local/Conrad-Murray-visits-Houston-patients-115386984.html

Notice the newscaster at the beginning says "Now to a story you will see ONLY on 11 News..."

At 1:18 Murray says "The joy is taking care of you. That's what really counts. Making sure that I can make a difference. Okay? Love ya'll."

At 1:11 we get a never-before-seen (I sure haven't seen it before!) Graduation Photo of Murray!!

Some interesting comments at the end of this article...

"judson said on February 7, 2011 at 7:02 PM
What a amoral and transparent attempt at character rehab -- using feigned concern for elderly poor people who sing his praises for the camera. These are the same elderly poor people that Murray was more than willing to ditch for a high-paying gig as Michael Jackson's "personal physician". "We’d be up a creek without a paddle," said Ruby Mosley. Apparently Miss Ruby doesn't yet realize that if Michael Jackson had lived, she wouldn't have seen Murray for dust. No paddle, indeed. No boat. No inner tube. No nothing."

"juney said on February 7, 2011 at 11:09 AM
Houston Chronical, June 11, 2010, physician Davill Armstrong, owner of Acres Homes clinic, reportedly was suspended for a second time for ordering services for patients. So let's get this straight, the Texas Medical Board suspended Armstrong's license on patient complaints, but in the Murray case, according to Murray's attorney, the Texas Medical Board will await the trial outcome? The Texas Medical Board filed this second complaint against Armstrong, owner of the clinic where Murray practices, just days after reports that Murray was back in Houston treating patients at the clinic. The June, 2010 article goes on to state that Murray begain seeing patients at Armstrong's bulding about two years ago. He abruptly left last spring for a $150,000 a month job treating the pop singer exclusively. There are many doctors in Houston who would see Medicare and Medicaid patients and bilk (er, bill) the federal and state governments."

"mrtommynazi said on February 5, 2011 at 6:46 PM
Why does KHOU keep printing positive stories about this guy treating medicaid patients in Acres Homes? Are there no other doctors there or do these patients just want this quack because he has been on TV? I don't understand why anyone would want to be treated by a Dr who gave his patient a surgical anesthesia for insomnia."

"layne said on February 5, 2011 at 6:41 PM
Let's see, where should I start. How about early 2009 when Murray did not seem to miind leaving his practices to take care of one patient for a huge paycheck. Perhaps he should have stayed in his cliinic because in that bedroom in LA he administered a heavy duty anesthetic to his one patient, without monitoring him, left his patient alone, conducted personal business when all he had to do was watch his patient sleep, repeatedly lied to medical personnel, attempted to conceal his actions, and has now agreed to blame his one patient for dying. And about that pristine history: add the death of one patient to that history, would you? I am sorry his patients are not happy about Murray's iminent departure, but hey, he didn't particularly take your wishes into account 2 years ago, did he? And someone stepped in as your provider, correct? I take it this article may be a PR attempt to counteract his girlfriend's (#2 or 3?) recent statements. Sorry. Not buying it."

Post by MJonmind Wed Feb 09, 2011 1:45 am

During the trial of MJ, the media were trying to villify him with their stories, Oprah putting the talks about pedophiles during that time apparantly. Just so here, the media are trying to put CM in a good light almost making him out to be a hero, and MJ is being shown as an addict and self-medicating by swallowing the propofol. Again it is trial by the media.

Strange that video of CM kissing three of his female patients, and telling them all he loved them. Well that would shock me if my doctor ever did that! Shocked
About CM leaving them for $$ with MJ, maybe they're happy he died so they have their doc back. But personally I think they're all actors/actresses, perhaps some in disguise.

Do my eyes and ears deceive me? Did this 'doctor' actually hug and say 'love you all' to a waiting room full of 'patients'? (Who one of the commenters referred to as 'rent-a-crowd'!) That's a tad inappropriate to say the least! Not the doctor/patient relationship I'm used to.
