Why the need for a hoax? Empty Why the need for a hoax?

Post by Rach Sun Aug 30, 2009 1:58 pm

There have been many threads specualting how the hoax was pulled off but while looking into another thread I asked myself the question: Why the need for a hoax?

If you have been following the Michael Joe/Michael Joseph thread you will notice that some amazing thoughts and findings have come up regarding the 2002 will that has been released to us.

Now many of us believe the will to be a fake, for numerous reasons I won't get into here, and this is where my questioning starts. Many people have speculated that Michael decided to hoax his death after the 2005 trial as he wanted to live a life away from the spotlight which had destroyed him. I'm not too sure about this.

If the will is indeed a fake it seems to indicate that Michael has been planning this for at least 7 years (there is the 7 reference again!) but I would like to know WHY? Michael had just become a father again, there were no charges brought against him at this time and apart from the Sony thing all aspects of his life seemed to be in check.

Deb raised the idea that it could have been to protect his children and if you listen to some of the speeches Michael made in 2002 he hints at wanting to give them a great upbringing away from the spotlight.

Please do contribute to this thread because I would love to know what you all think.

I believe he didn't want his children to be brought up in the spotlight. even though he was cleared of the charges, there were still some that believed he was guilty. I think he didn't want his children to have to see their fathers name drug through the mud like it was. I believe he just wanted a chance to be father, away from everything else.

Rachel, your arguments for the hoax not being about MJ wanting to get out of the spotlight are logical, but I can´t help thinking that that´s exactly why. For the sake of the children too, not just himself of course. I´m really anxious to hear about annies finale and then maybe I´ll have a better picture of all of this.

Maybe I should add that I don´t believe that all of this is becuase he wants a superduper comeback. It´s more than that to it. I personally don´t care if the performs again. I´d LOOOOVE to se him live, don´t get me wrong, but I´d rather have him alive, healthy and happy and off the stage and out of the spotlight.

Rachel in my opinion I don't think Michael is gone for good. What makes me feel this is the past few years Michael's life was alot quieter than normal. He was here in Ireland in 2006 and we never bothered him. He had the peace and quiet he wanted and needed. He also said he comes alive on stage and this is where he's most comfortable.
I feel if he was to never come back he'd be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life and how can that possibly give him peace of mind.

Now it's interesting to hear people say this was to protect the children, but lets not forget that leading up to the "death" and after it, the children have been shown to the world. Everyone now knows who they are.

My bets on this are that the children will be sent to "boarding school" somewhere out of the country, but they will be with Michael.

In that case, do you think that the children will be left alone when they´ll start "boarding school"? Now since the press has seen them, maybe that´s why Michael showed them. I´m afraid they wont leave them alone and that the press somehow finds Michael (while being with the children) and the hell starts for him, allover again. pale

On 2002 he might thought his life was in danger. You know his quest against Tommy Motolla, and who knows if behind the curtain this shady man kept not pursuiting him?No one takes from my mind that the second abuse charges were triggered by this villain.

Well since the memorial they have only been seen a handful of times. I can recall Paris and Prince going to JW meeting, what appears to be Paris papped in the Encinco compound, Prince and Blanket shopping in LA and now Paris in Las Vegas.

The press hasn't really hounded them that much which I am so thankful for. Whose to say they aren't with Michael at the moment?

OMG no, they cant, they are Michael Jacksons children, there will be papparazzi all over them, hiding in the bushes and the trees. Michael NEVER wanted that. Thats why they were home schooled, because he didnt want press all over them at school.

@neverlandsfairy: I agree with this very much. I think the second allegations were spurred by Motolla too. I mean this man must be extremely dangerous if Michael himself thought he was crooked. And he had a plan as seen from that Sony kills video, so there's the reason perhaps.

I absolutely agree with you. MJ is smart and perfectionist and also very very
ambitious.
He had:
- a difficult childhood
then years of fame (80's and early 90's)
then he had trouble years 1993 + 2005, which broke him down....
then he had quiet years 2006-2008 in Bahrain and Ireland.

His last tour was years ago....he loves challenging....and he wants to show the world that he still is the King of Pop...to prove that, you need a little bit more than just a "come back" although he has a kind lof love-hate-relationship referring to touring...
But he also wants to show his children which skills he really has and how his actions move the whole world...

You ain't seen nothing yet

during the last years he discovered his love for making/producing movies....he esp. loves directing...he's a good songwriter...and maybe he also writes good scripts...
TTI is officially directed by K.O. but who really knows who pulls the strings behind?

In addition he has to settle an outstanding score with the global media who tortured him the last 30 years...

If he really decides to return..I suppose he will do that in the next months..
this would destroy the credibility of the media forever..
would be like some kind of earthquake
and that's a really good revenge for MJ --this is just a side-effect, but a very convenient one-

I love your post and I couldn't agree more. He's giving the media enough rope and eventually they will hang themselves Wink
MJ was very competitive and he wanted to show the world who was king. Also I agree 100% about the comeback, there's no way MJ would do an average comeback no way he's bigger and better than that. He's the king of pop for christ sake. As I keep saying there's no bigger comeback than coming back from the dead!

Post by Rach Sun Aug 30, 2009 2:57 pm

Ok guys, I'm going to start a debate up here!

For the longest time I have thought that isn't about money, a comeback or showing the media up. As much as I hate to say it, I think there is a much more sinister reason behind all of this. I don't for one minute think Michael is dead but I think if he didn't hoax his death he would have ended up been dead.

So, I wanna know what you all think! Debates are fun Smile xoxo

I believe it was either 1 of 3 things?

1. I believe he thought his life was in danger, so he wanted to go aways to be safe, Before he ended up being killed.

2. He wanted to get away from all the money hungry people around him, who were pretending to be his friends, just to get his money.

3.He wanted to get away from all the Media and Tabloids.

@ ishealive: we're in line with each other *lol*

@ rach: If your opinion is like that, than he'll NEVER return...and he WOULDN'T
leave any clues.....not even for the diehard fans...
Then he has to decide: security first
But if he would leave clues....they (maybe a group of dangerous ppl who really threaten him to death >>>whoever they are <<<<) would get him....
no escape possible...

And if I look back the last 2 months...
- weird circumstances
- inconstancies
- contradictions
- sloppy investigations
- no one charged yet, but the case is ruled as homicide...

If he would really have been in danger....the whole case would have been made
really professional and not so incompetent as it really turned out.
If I'd live in LA I wouldn't trust the LAPD....
On one hand: LA....Hollywood...dream factory...
the officials work like in B-Movie or even worse

on the other hand: It's the USA...USA is a technical high-developed country...
we live in the 21st century...but watch the investigations..
it's like bedlam in here....I would expect that in Somalia or Burundi -no offense, but these are poor 3rd world countries with a much lower development-

and this leads me to the conclusion that he's alive and has to fear no danger and he has other reasons for his hoax...

I didn't mean to imply that he will never return because that's not what I feel.

I was stating that I think this goes deeper than a comeback or showing the media up. These are MY opinons and I don't expect anyone to believe them because we are all different. There are many reasons why people fake their own death and for the most part it's because they are in some kind of trouble.

I just don't see Michael been the kind of person who is conseded enough to pull this off for a comeback.

Sorry if you don't like/believe what I have to say but that's the great beauty of a debate Smile

I just thought if you said "he was in danger"
so i thought, that in this case won't be any clues
and no one would know about it, even his family.

And I have that feeling that some ppl may know what's really going on
like:
Liz Taylor
Diana Ross
Maculay Culkin
-maybe- Chris Tucker

MJs siblings and parents and children

and Mr. Kenny O.

this are my thoughts and I also don't expect anyone to agree with me Smile

Why the need for a hoax? Empty Re: Why the need for a hoax?

Post by GirlSaturday Sun Aug 30, 2009 3:25 pm

Publicity...Period. I love the man. I believe that he is brilliant showman. But that's just it, HE is a showman. Within this hoax, he has presented the world with what could become The Greatest Show On Earth.

Since June 25th, I have gone into overdrive to uncover as much about him as humanly possible. I've listened to music that I had never heard before. I have been reading material that I never knew existed. I have listened to interviews from years ago to refresh my mind. I've come across some great stuff as well as pure crap. Bottom line: I now look at MJ through fresh eyes. One intertwining thread that I noticed in my findings is that promoting MJ has always been one of his greatest talents.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that either. I work in Marketing and come across prospective clients who do not always understand the importance of advertising/marketing/promotions. I always tell them that if you don't promote your products or services then they do not exist to your target audience. The same target audience that your competitors seek to lure away and lock in as their own. Out of sight...out of mind.

Just as in any business, the business entity known as Michael Jackson has competition. Sure... he is the great singer/songwriter/producer/dancer but the music buying/concert attending public has choices of where and when to spend their money. Music genres and styles float in and out all of the time. I know... I know... MJ is timeless, classic and has longevity that will never be matched. The same can be said about the little black dress...lol. However each year fashion designers take great effort to supply the public with new and trendy clothing to encourage them to part ways with their money. Even if fashion designers want to present the same little black dress each year, the buying public would likely reject it. So... subtle changes are made i.e. length, sleeves, collar, waistline etc so as to freshen it up. MJ saw that to some, his role in music-making and performing was being perceived as good but nothing new and somewhat predictable. We're talking 30+ years as a solo artist and performing tons of live shows. This hoax, I believe, is MJ's method to turn up the heat and refresh himself. In addition, he will remind his many "spin-off's" and "wanna-be's" who is and will forever be the King of Pop. Lastly, as noted in some other thread... he will do something... present something... that will cause people's jaw to drop.

Rachel wrote:There have been many threads specualting how the hoax was pulled off but while looking into another thread I asked myself the question: Why the need for a hoax?

He IS the greatest entertainer...
reminds me of Kennys answer on twitter to someone else referring to MJ:"and he still IS"
so there's an intension behind his words Smile

MJ is his best promoter....and I also recognized that here and as well on MJHD
are many young users...aged 14 until early 20's.
This is a group of people who didn't raise with his music.

With this hoax, he'll reach his fans from the past and many many new fans, especially
the really young fans.

That's a very clever move!

Post by jade jackson Sun Aug 30, 2009 3:50 pm

I had just written a long comment and then I think I accidentally deleted it. If this a duplicate post, I'm sorry..please disregard. I was mentioning something someone said on the Joe/Joseph thread..she/he brought up an interview (maybe the one with Maury Povich). When Michael was asked about the molestation charges he said something like..."Michael Jackson did not do that...somebody else did that." What does this mean...has anyone analyzed this comment? My other question is this...if we can figure out how Michael hoaxed his death and why he hoaxed his death, the question I would have then is HOW he would manage to come back after all that has happened...all the uproar in the lives of his children and family? I am selfish enough to really want him to come back with his name fully cleared of all that molestation stuff and I would like to see a stunning comeback concert. It would blow my mind...but how in the world would he pull off coming back amidst all of this confusion. I would love it if he were to come back... I want him to come back...but it seems to me the publicity would be bad given all that has happened since his "death." He would really have a media problem then. How I would love to see all of this tied together by someone.

WOW! I suddenly got a chill and I had a flashback to Annie's theory. The character JL didn't appear until 2007. However in the general scheme of things there have been many MJ look alikes over the years. Could it be that an MJ look alike was doing some bad things to children so MJ was blamed as a result. The very thought makes me ill.

Interesting comment Jade. Thanks for sharing!

I would be sick beyond belief if someone abused children and pretended to be Michael and he took the fall for it. Who would do that?

I don't know what to make of Michael's comment. It is odd.....

I beg to differ ilprincipe -
I'm 23 and I've been a Michael Jackson fan since I was 2, my parents were fans of his music and when I was a baby Michael Jackson was the name in our house. I grew up over the past 20-odd years still being a Michael Jackson fan through the ups and the downs he is the one artist who has never wavered from my consciousness and he never will. And I am still a Michael Jackson fan to this day even though my parents aren't huge listeners of his music nowadays. His music has always been with me, his movies/films have always been with me and never far away in our house - Moonwalker is one of my earliest movie memories ever - and I had no idea it was about drugs when I was little, I just knew it at the Michael Jackson Movie.

I just wanted to clarify because not all young people have no knowledge of Michael, and many of us - despite our youth or maybe because of it - have been lifelong fans and aren't just jumping on the bandwagon now.

@ jade: He would really have a media problem then.
IMO not more problems than in the last 30 years...and not even worse than in 1993 and 2005...
His reputation was already damaged there...

so he has nothing to lose...and if the Joe/Joseph theory comes true, he won't fear any
legal consequences.....

I'lll go to bed now...it's witching hour here in Germany

Good night everyone Smile

Post by michellemissesmjj Sun Aug 30, 2009 4:13 pm

@ rach. i am feeling the same as you at the moment where the motives comes in. i have been recking my brains to try and think of a motive.

i dont think its to get away from the spotlight cause things have been relatively quite for him these last few years
i dont think its for the protection of his children.

what does cross my mind thoughis what is he going to say to ppl when he does come back, oh i did it because i wanted to do the biggest show ever. i dont think so this cause it wouldn't be taken lightly especially with all the aftermath. i think there is something deeper than that. a more serious reason. i cant see anything other than this would cause him to go through all of this. i did think to get out of doing 50 shows as i watched a you tube interview with one of his associates that said he tried everything to get out of the 50 shows cause he new it would kill hi. im trying to find the vid now on you tube.

anyway that blows that theory out the water if you think that this was arranged from 2002.

@ilprincipe - no worries Very Happy
I just wanted to clarify because Michael's music speaks to people from all generations - not just old people [no offence guys] - he's someone I've grown up with and to hear people say things like that just makes it sound like you can't call yourself a true fan unless you're 30-40+ which isn't true.

Anyhow, Keith Flint? Isn't that the guy who sings 'Twisted Firestarter'? Ouch - I've never thought of him as fanciable although I do have a very soft spot for Joey Jordison (I am a Knot fan too) I love the bad boys lol but I don't go for a particular type of man - my taste in men is as eclectic and varied as my taste in music lol

Notice well that people leave more involved in their videos: JFK, MLK, John Lennon ,…. Lord is very clear how they have finished all right? (Note how this video starts “But if MLF Were living …”) Michael enemies, our enemies, have been a long time. As of protest songs began their struggle, as he could and did damage many people belibed ….
He did not give any back steep he stay is strong on it and that had sentenced by (but Michael is very smart and know what's is going to happen;)) I think that these concerts to Michael want to say something like these “Gentlemen, significant” will don't like. Here is where start my doubts about whether or not given time to escape (if true ?)…

Your comment makes sense. Though I believe Michael hoaxed his death because he was in danger, sometimes a crazy thought crosses my mind that Michael Jackson was not a single person, but an entity of two persons performing, singing, writing, etc.

In the Bashir interview at the beginning you can see Michael's face is slightly different from the person he interviews at the end of it. Of course, this interview had an 8 month period, and he maybe would have gone through surgery during this time, but well I dont know. Another thing that caught my eye is that at a certain point Bashir asks Michael if Blanket's mother is a public figure, he says "yes", then at another part of the interview Michael says she is not known...I know Michael had no reasons to lie about Blanket's mother because thats his business. But, maybe they (the two michaels) didnt agree to talk about this, and thats why he slipt in that part? please dont get me wrong,(it could be the angles, make up, surgery, or that he gained weight through that period)... I love Michael, and I know he wouldnt lie about blanket's mother...no reason to...but two things may have happened...he was protecting the public figure (blanket's mother) or two michaels were interviewed...and again its just my perception, maybe Im wrong, maybe he went through surgery, or like i said before he was protecting this woman. I can't recall exactly when the words about his son were mentioned, would have to watch it completely, but I am sure he did slip up.

Why the need for a hoax? Empty Re: Why the need for a hoax?

Post by GirlSaturday Sun Aug 30, 2009 6:08 pm

Two people in terms of two individuals or two people in terms of a split personality? Some of my readings have lead me to believe that MJ had traumatic experiences as a child (physical/emotional/sexual) and it has been noted by mental health professionals that additional personalities can develop as a result. Think about MJ onstage in comparison with MJ off stage i.e. during an interview. We are talking about a 360 degree change in the person. It often seemed that there were indeed TWO different Michael Jacksons.
