Hey Guys,

My twitter is going really crazy. I have a few Michael Jackson fans on my twitter. One of the people twittered me and asked me how I prayed for Michael Jackson and how I set up a prayer team for MJ, so I told them. But, get this. Genevieve Jackson directly twittered me. I did not directly twitter her back just yet. I am a Christain. She's Buddhist. This is my opportunity to tell her that Jesus Christ loves her especially since she is Michael Jackson's niece.

I agree. If you have a Jackson on your twitter I would think you would want to discuss things related to Michael Jackson. Starting to talk about someone personal believes sounds very odd. And I would totally not appreciate it if someone would start like that with me.

I don't think there is a problem talking about Jesus and what you believe and yall talk about religion. I wouldn't recommend completely shooting down genevieve's beliefs but I think its nice it would like to talk about Jesus with her. Genevieve Jackson directly Twittered Me!!!! Icon_smile

Jesus is way more important than Michael Jackson or a death hoax. Do what ya gotsta do if you feel like there's an open door.

Just saying.... telling people about Jesus is not disrespecting them or their beliefs.

Talking about Jesus isn't disrespecting but the way she put that was " Oh, sh'es a budhist, I want to tell her Jesus is the one"

Hey share with Genevieve. As far as we know we don't even know what is being discussed. Doors of opportunity are always open even though your focus was on that particular topic, issue, or subject. Don't feel bad, condemned, or ashamed of what you are doing because I don't know what you and Geneive talk about.

I myself have prayed that God will bring light to this entire situation with the hoax thing.

thanks for sharing that. Sharing about Christ is not always about opposing your beliefs on others.

If someone who is not a believer ask me a question in regards to Christ. I am in turn will answer them because I don't know what is going on in that person's life. They are inquiring for a reason and I know there is never a coincidence in these type of opportunities.

Jesus has always about not condemning. He brung the adulterers attention to where are her accusers. He didn't condemn her. He told her to go and sin nomore. That woman went and told what her experience was and it made an impact on her life.

agreed. telling them about it is one thing. Shoving it down their throats is another and i dont think anyone is doing that. its good to tell people all about Jesus and then just let them (the listener) believe what they want because to each his own. but its good to let people know but not forcing which i dont think anyone is doin.

yes but she (Geneieve) learned her buddhist beliefs from someone. theres nothing wrong with listening to all points of view and if she still stays a buddhist then thats her.

This is true-pushing and manipulating is one thing-but just chatting it up and having the oppuratunity is fine. I am also a christian so I can see this. Just like say anything else-we don't have a problem talking about other parts of our lives or our preferances and giving someone the chance to experience those things we hold dear. Please everyone lets not get into a tolerance debate.

Please lets stay on forum here and not badger each other on how to conversate in our free time. Every one of us here have attemted (at some point in our lives) to recruit someone into liking Michael Jackson....right. Think about that. We have produced evidence to say that he was innoncent...why? They have the right to believe what they want -who are we? Right? Ok at the end of the day evryone has their own opinion. But if matters of life come up I should feel free to give antecdotes on how to deal with life. I or no one else should feel like they have committed a crime by bringing up religion. No one knows how it came up-no one knows how it came up. No one knows if there was badgering or shoving involved. Now if this turns ugly..seriously I already did it once today.

I am sorry if I missunderstoond Jesuslovers intent or the happening behind his tweets. But from what I could gather from the OP-text it seemed as he was trying to lecture her about Jesus and as a beliver in Buddha she might feelt it offensive and he really has no right to teach her wrong from right or whatever.
