Odd MJ Commercial on Comedy Central!

It's 2:26am, I am working on a project and peeking in on you guys from time to time. Comedy Central is on tv keeping me company. All of a sudden, there was a quick 10 sec commercial that popped up. It featured Human Nature as the background song with a few flashing images of MJ. It ended with one final image and 1958 - 2009. Why now and why on Comedy Central of all networks?

lol....just long enough (10 seconds) to get your attention...then it's gone!

What were the images? Young Mike? Recent Mike?

LOl...I can only remember one....black pants, white t shirt with MJ in his Billie Jean pose where his arm is extended.That was the final image where they also listed 1958 - 2009.

I was caught off guard, heard the Human Nature music and then looked up so I didn't go into auto-detective mode. At this late hour, the tv is background noise. I went to their site to see it was referenced in any way so that I could see it again. No such luck!

LOL...you are watching the old Chris Rock special "Bigger and Blacker" too.

TV is on but I'm just listening. I usually ignore the ads because the only ones airing at this hour are the Girls Gone Wild . Hearing Human Nature made me lookup and wonder... WTF?

Yeah ... I am typing while watching .. I heard Human Nature & Freak The F***k out when I heard it ... Was Like the VH1 Tribute or Just a Commerical ???

We DVR'd The Big Bang Theory. We watched it last night.

Now, I was sitting there w/ someone who thinks I'm "c r a z y" regarding Michael controling all this and that he's alive.

Anyway, at the end there was a quick image...

It was a black and white image. Michael sitting in a chair, kind of w/ his right leg thrown over the right arm of the chair. He had sunglasses and his head was sort of turned to the right...

Then the screen came up to "delete show" or whatever it says.

BEFORE I could say NO, don't delete, my friend deleted it. when I DID say "WAIT, did you see that?" I got,"Yes....oh my gosh, do you think that's some sort of a "clue" or something to you?"

Just wanted to share this w/ you all. I didn't know others have seen similar things on TV.

See now I am not so crazy afterall. I haven't seen the image that you described but my 10 sec ad was just as odd. Comedy Central? If it were one of the music networks, there would be some sense to it but Comedy Central?

It could have been a subliminial message on not a obvious channel ..... could be something hint us I guess .....

Wow that's really odd. Guess I'm going to need to pay more attention when I have the TV on for background noise. All I ever hear and/or get is the insurance commerial with I'll be There.

That's really odd, weird why it would be on Comedy Central! Hmmm i'm thinking there's something behind this.

Ad breaks are to advertise - were they advertising something of MJ's? Maybe you've already said it above and i've missed it...

OK, 10 sec.? Most ads run at least 30 sec. That is strange. Why have MJ ads at all, now that it's been 12 weeks. Somebody is f--king with us.

Speaking of THAT commercial, it was aired again and again during the days leading up to the September 3rd event. No matter what network, or what time of the day or night...it appeared. I would just jump when it came on and stare at the tv.

Yes, it was sure in heavy rotation. I still hear it quite a bit, but mostly late at night. Right before MJ's birthday, I was in Old Navy, school shopping with the kids and within a half an hour 2 MJ songs came on. Their commerial got played quite a bit too with the Billie Jean bit in it. Seems to be a bit of jumping on the bandwagaon was taking place.

We'll have to keep an eye out for weird commerials and things with the movie coming up.

It almost feels like it's how do I say this -trailers for the movie, if they are showing these ads before anything to do with MJ i.e. his birthday & burial it's like a reminder for us to watch out or watch the burial. It's a constant reminder of MJ so we will stay tuned.

I notice Comedy Central is owned by Viacom, the same owners of MTV, VH1, Nick and a few others. But maybe there is more to it.
