TII Pre-screening Tickets for 3000 for LA area Fans

I had to watch the video twice and I'm still scratching my head because it seemed to contradict the write-up within the link.

This Thursday at 5pm LA fans can go the the Nokia Theatre and stand in line to purchase TII tickets for a 10/27 pre-screeening. Among those fans, 500 will be selected to receive a special commemorative ticket that was designed for the O2 concert. Neither the AEG President, or Ryan clearly explained if the special O2 ticket would go toward 500 random TII pre-screen ticket buyers or if it would to the first 500 in line who purchased .

Observations withn the video:

The video ran for 6:03 and went well into 4 minutes or so before any reference by AEG guy or Ryan to MJ being dead. AEG President said the word "died" matter of factly and later referenced that "now that we've lost him".

Only 2 tickets per person will be sold during the pre-screen. O2 tickets will only be awarded to those who purchase 2 tickets.

Ryan asked about movie content and the AEG guy talked about rehearsal footage and the excitement of the prepapration but would NOT give the ending of the movie. I had the feeling Ryan is a believer or has been hearing from believers. He asked the question in such a way that lead me to believe he wanted to know if there would be any "surprise endings"

The AEG guy slipped and said October 7th as the pre-screen date and quickly corrected himself.

When Ryan asked if there would a take-home item for fans such as a dvd, SEG guy started talking about the 500 O2 ticket promotion without addressing if there would a dvd at some later date.

I would bet momey that there are people camping out now to get a chance to buy tickets...lol.

Check out the video again. I am certain that our hoax busters will catch some things that likely slipped by me.

What is going is on...is that some lucky people in LA will get a chance to see TII before the rest of the world. I do live in America but on the East Coast so needless to say I'm soooo jealous. The good news is that someone in LA will give the press a "review" once the movie has been seen. Yes I am one of THOSE people who doesn't mind hearing how something ends before I see it.

Me too. In Germany there will be a Premiere in Berlin.....about 350 miles away from me....
I hope they show TTI in my town..

350 miles away from Berlin? I hope that it is showing somewhere much closer to you.

only the premiere....I'm confident that the movie will be shown in my city....
we have a pretty big theatre..
and I saw a commercial on the web about a 2nd theatre in my town who will
show it anyhow

IMHO,
They are playing TII up to be the best movie of all time. It reminds me of seeing a highly exposed trailer of a movie from Hollywood. You go see the movie and is greatly disappointed. You have a " I should have waited for the DVD" attitude. I think this is going to happen in this case. I mean honestly, from all of the footage from the trailers it doesn't look too exciting. AEG is trying to make as much money as they possibly can. Quite frankly, I can wait. Keep the Faith!

As they market the film, huge praise for it's content is to be expected. AEG President pumped the movie up to be the greated movie EVER. I am still intrigued as to why he didn't answer the dvd question. Maybe he felt that fans would simply sit back and wait for a dvd out of skepticism that this was just to be a regular rehearsal with nothing unexpected to offer viewers of previous rehearsal footage. I agree that money is a motivator. AEG and Sony have a lot invested and they want a huge return on the investment and they want it NOW.

That is the puzzling part about the video . AEG President was asked specificall about a dvd. He said the word better (than dvd)and proceeds to bring up the 500 special O2 tickets. O2 tickets do not mean anything for the other 2500 LA fans who attend the pre-scereening. Those fans miss out. Likewise the 500 O2 tickets mean nothing to worldwide fans who will see the movie outside of the pre screening event in LA. He was specifivally asked what takeaway item would be available for ALL fans who wanted such a momento. Plue he made it clear that the 500 O2 tickets were made available by AEG but considered a special promotion through Ryan's radio station. The radio station would be responsible for the distribution on the O2 tickets as fans stand in line to purchase this hursday at the Nokia Theater Plaza.

I don't recall hearing about a live album. I would expect a live album if this were concert footage. How would they create a live album from rehearsal footage?

I don't think it was specifically a TII tour live album, but perhaps from a previous concert? I'm not sure, I remember reading something about it either here or on MJHD... I will go back and try to find where I read it

This isn't the exact one I read before, but:

"The deal with Sony Pictures will also include a soundtrack, a director’s cut of the film and two special-edition DVDs."

So must be a soundtrack, not a live album. There must have been some miscommunication/misunderstanding with whoever posted about a live album a while ago.
