Why did Michael choose this way to "die"?

I've been thinking about this all day. If Michael had it in his mind to hoax his death for whatever reason, why did he have to do it in a way that it would be considered a homicide? Why couldn't he have "died" from like, some freak accident that disfigured his body beyond recognition, (making it even harder to "identify" him), or some other cause where no one would be accused of doing it? Wouldn't it be so much simpler and he'd have to involve less people in the hoax to pull it off? It just seems like an awful lot but if he did it in part to help the government bring down some corrupt over-prescribing docs like that theory suggest, then I suppose the death-by-drug-overdose would be the best route. I don't know. Michael is a smart man and I know he knows what he is doing I just wonder if maybe the whole manslaughter thing was taking it a step too far.

I can understand completely where you're coming from and it is kind of odd but then again the way I look at it is Michael's life was so big and PT Barnum like so why wouldn't his death be the same.
I think if MJ wanted to disappear forever he would have died in a way that Jacksonologist has said, he would just disappear for good with his children but this way it's a big story and making the news everyday so MJ is brought back to life after all the crap he went through and he's on peoples minds constantly so MJ did do a clever thing, this is why I believe he'll be back. This is all part of his comeback. After his March announcement I didn't really hear anything about MJ you'd never think he had concerts coming up in July 'cos he didn't promote them at all, the way I see it he's promoting his comeback now and making new fans along the way!

Thats a good point because I didn't hear anything about the O2 shows either until after he died! That's another reason why his death was so shocking to me and I think to a lot of other people too because he hadn't really been in the public eye too much so when we heard he "died", it's like a smack in the face. It's like, whoa where did this come from?? How could he just die out of nowhere. And when I try to think about him being in the news prior to his death, the only thing that comes to mind is when he unveiled his kids to the world....hmmm...i think he is coming back definitely. Thanks guys.

Yeah exactly, MJ is a very clever man he knows what he's doing. The man is a genius!!! He'll be back, this is all smoke and mirrors!
