interesting read about mj by freelance reporter

hi everyone! I came across this website wrote by a freelance reporter which said some strange things about mj. I wasnt sure how post the site here but the address is http://thelowlynewshound.blogspot.com/2009/09/this-is-it-uk-release.html. its called the candid diary of an intrepid freelance reporter. The main things the reporter says is:

1. the press conference was actually meant to take place on thur 26th feb 2009. But mj failed to show up. Earlier that week mj also fired lawyer peter lopez so organisers had no way of contacting him.

2. On 3rd march 2009 (press conference day) a leak was made so that the press would pick it up that mj would be making a press conference. This was done on purpose so that mj could not pull out this time. But mj still attempted to pull out - the official reason given as to why he was late was traffic but he had indeed barricaded himself in hotel room.

3. Once at the o2 mj remained reluctant to take the stage. The footage was EDITED to give impression he immediately entered the stage straight away.

4. mj seemed irratated when he spoke at o2 and one fan was later crying saying he seemed angry.

5. AEG had reserved upto 100,000 tickets to sell as vip packages but due to the recession in england these were not sellin well. AEG kept releasing FALSE stories to press to keep the concerts on everyones lips. And so to try sell tickets.

I dont know how credible the reporter is but this shows the power of AEG releasing false stories to press and mj's reluctance to do the tour. Hope u all find it ok and thanx 4 reading xx

hmmm.. this might be true. but the problem with the story is that, how come Michael forced himself to show off when he dont like it?

how come he was making the filming and rehearsals when he dont seemed to like the idea of it?

its not about pleasing.. he had enough to please everyone.

maybe , and again IMO, its all drama.. there should be imperfections in anything you will do, there's a need to squeeze stories to keep the story alive. the more inconsistencies the more unsatisfied you are..so you will keep guessing and searching..

so i guess.. for me.. theres no way Michael Jackson dont know about the deal.

That's such an interesting blog! It explains a lot about how he acted that day, if he really didn't want or plan to be there. Is this how you guys interpreted the announcement? A "weary warning"?

I agree, this is very interesting and very telling.

It sounds as if the O2 appearance almost didnt happen at all. That would make sense if we follow the assumption that the O2 guy was NOT Michael.

If the plan was to send out a double to make the O2 announcement, it makes sense that the people involved might be a little nervous about being found out. Almost immediately after the press conference I distinctly remember my family and friends question the whole appearance saying that something was strange and that didnt appear to be Michael at all.

If you read the entire blog post, you also see that 1000 ticket blocks for 50 shows were set aside as VIP tickets - with a price tag of $800 dollars a piece! 1000 tickets for 50 shows is 50,000 tickets. Multiply 50,000 by $800 a ticket and you get a grand total of 40MM dollars!!

The problem turned out to be that they had trouble selling tickets at that price during a recession and that the greed of AEG wound up costing them money.

I also found it interesting that the AEG promoters were leaking false stories to keep the concert in the press.

I wonder how it is going with the people who purchased tickets for this event and if everyone who asked for a refund received it.

Re: the 02 announcement, remember the thread where it was being discussed and the fact that it seemed to be a "put on"? I just read that only 150 people were at that announcement. This sort of adds to the theory that it was staged and that the fans were "acting". Also the fact that there didn't seem to be any fan pictures posted on the net except for the one or two when people started asking questions about 0@

Re: 6 months to live I always thought that this was something that was "leaked" possibly by MJ , too weird that the timing was exactly on target.

hmmmm...who was it that said that maybe he was acting weird because he had to "lie"-and the only time he sounded himself was when he said "I love you,I really do". God this is gonna depress me.

Don't really believe that part. Ok-SO -if all this is true and he really did not even want to do this then everything Kenny O is saying is not true. Now I never though KO was in on a haox-nor did I think he was an evil player in this,because Michael called him for the dangerous tour and called him back for this one. KO has said that Michael never mentioned money or sales in this endevour,he was doing it for the fans and his kids who had never seen him live. OH GOSH.

The more I read this the more I really don't see alot,other than dissing MJ. If it were a major source saying this I would have already written it off. It seems I have heard about him being late before. It also does not sound like he was there but instead he citing other sources.

He seems to be a fan though too. Maybe someone who's been let down a lot or something. I'm not sure what to think of him really. But it never crossed my mind before that MJ was the one to leak the 6 months to live story to Halperin. If that's true, then it gives our hoax theory a whole lot more credibility!

i think its intersting that this reporter wrote this before 25th june 09. it would be good to know how he found out this information. Yes it would fit our hoax theory brilliantly if mj did leak the story of having 6 months to live

So MJ is playing AEG at their own game...
He never wanted to do the concerts so he had the rehearsals recorded!
I don't know what to think. From watching the trailers it looks like MJ is really working hard and focused so if he wasn't going to do the concerts why work so hard or else he planned on hoaxing his death and knew AEG would release it as a movie!! or else MJ is out thinking Sony again...

There's too many "or elses" in this post

Not wanting to come on too strong with this aspect, but being a virgo too who loves to do things just right, I look at it in a very human way, too.
This is from my eyes and not the truth, ok?

We virgos do things or let them be. We want to do 100% right or not at all.
If we decide to do something, we do it meeting only our expectation which is at least 1 inch higher than what others expect of us.

So if Michael after all these years of private life found out that he still loved stage and performing and would do it just great in his expectations - but did not know whether that would meet the spectators' and fans' expectations?
I would understand completely that he would rather run than screw up only by one little thingie. Either it's 100% or nothing.
And a run-away is less than nothing - it is terrible. So if you don't want others to think terrible of you, you'll invent a little story around, isn't that human?
Now in this case this little story must of course be a big story for many reasons.
And film is much more controllable than live performances - you control every little bit in film.
I think this is very seducing.

For the teleprompters, Mr. O'Leary said in an interview (video somewhere on youtube I think) that Michael when embracing him was worried and asked whether the teleprompters were on. Obviously neither one worked and Michael was really angry about this. He even searched in his backpocket for some piece of paper and found nothing. He was really disturbed.

I am still hooke on this picture and why we do not have any explanation for it.
Michael leaving the hotel room (being hours late and before the conference it was said) and I always wondered about
1) who these lawyers or bankers or managers are
2) why they are not happy at all
3) why Michael is smiling so much - show case or contentment? What for?

If anybody would have a clue about these guys, we would be a good step further for sure. This photo was photoshopped and published with the red curtain of the announcement as if they wanted to hide these guys.






So for being late, not really liking the announcement and weird acting, I think there are many explanations on hand.

on one or two shots of the trailer,it kinda looked liked michael was having FUN just playing around at workin,not really workin it,i dont know he could have been tryin out different ways of the steps but,like on the one clip with the girl,(way u make me feel)they show 2 differnent ways of him walkin after her on stage and it looks as if he is just messin around having a good time,kinda flautin,but,not really "workin" at it. maybe knowin in the back of his mind the whole time it wasnt gonna happen,he wasnt REALLY going to be at concerts,so it didnt matter HOW he practiced/rehearsed. just my opinion.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to contact the guy. Good thinking to let one person do the talking (Annie's got my vote too,I like her rational thinking).

As far as the supposed dislike of MJ doing the concerts. Maybe he really didn't want to do the concerts. Let alone 50 of them. Maybe he felt scr*wed when he found out there were going to be 50 and decided to do none. He decided to make a deal with AEG. They could do a movie to replace the concerts. The movie would be huge knowing he was going to hoax his death. He may have just wanted them of his back before all of this went down. This does mean that some people had to have known like Kenny Ortega.

@Grace-honestly I think both those photos look shopped....the telaprompters not being on would show that he was not "ignoring the prompters" as some have said at least. The deal with the strange men might explain why he was late(because I don't think he was boxed up and drunk in hotel room) and nervous maybe?

I thought O'Leary said he pointed out the teleprompters and MJ didn't use them, because he just kept saying "this is it", so he was confused as to why he asked him in the first place?

And I assume the dudes in the background aren't happy because MJ is an hour late at this point...and if what this reporter says is true, they just spent a couple hours trying to get him out of his room. I don't know.

I totally agree that MJ wouldn't have wanted to do these concerts if there was even the slightest chance he couldn't pull them off 100%. And judging from Randy's/Kenny's(?) comment that Michael said on the 24th that he finally believed he could do it, then obviously MJ wasn't confident in himself...or they're just making stuff up.

Well it had been many years and even if he thought he could do it,he may not have thought ppl would want to see him. When Elvis came back in the big 69 comeback,after his stint in the army they say he was incredibly nervous and thought noobody would care that he was coming back...that was not true of course. Michael had been gone even longer(if I am correct on my time here). I can totally understand that. BUT there are footages of him publicly speaking off and on through the ears...it is not like he was in hole somewhere. I don't know ...I just don't know.

I would not for any money be buying the fact that Michael was the man which announced "This is it" O2 Arena Performances.
The man was not acting like the Michael we've known all our lives, the voice and looks can be faked but you will never be able to fake the walk and the beautiful smile of our moon walker!
That guy walked like rapper! He gestured just like Elvis. It wasn't Mickels voice but a much deeper one.
