He received an award for being the celebrity that had given the most to charity. I think the amount was something like 300 million $ that he had donated to various charities.

He was in the Guinness Book for the most charities supported by a pop star. I've also heard he gave away as much as 500 million! But I think it was all the personal time he spent with sick children and the underprivileged that said the most about him. Such an amazing man. I love you
