Jackson Sued by Disgruntled Choreographer

An ex-choreographer who allegedly worked for Michael Jackson is the latest person to file a creditor's claim against Jackson's estate.

LaVelle Smith Jr. filed a suit today claiming he worked for Jackson for several different stretches in 2008 and 2009. Smith says Jackson only paid him part of what he was supposed to get and he is owed $144,500.

Really? What choreography was required? There were no performances, were there? Unless it was for the dome project?

It would actually make you wonder, there are so many it's a bit fictional but unfortunately MJ did attract the worst of them!

The lawsuits are going through the probate court, so in that respect they are real. But you know, there are time limits for filing things where probate and an estate is concerned, so it's really not abnormal for people to keep coming forward with claims. If they don't do it now, they won't be able to later. In most cases, I'd say the claims are legit. Even T. Mes filed a claim, and we all know that case was 4 years ago. But these folks filing claims have to prove the legitimacy of their claims, as far as I know. So if they can't, they're not going to get a dime. (I have nothing against T. Mes by the way, and I'm sure he'll get what he's owed. For all we know, he and MJ had a payment deal worked out, which obviously would have to change after June 25th, and thus, the claim). But as far as the claims go, they make the "death" seem more legit. I think it would raise a lot of flags if no claims were coming in against the estate.
