October 28th, 2009

MICHAEL JACKSON’s THIS IS IT musical director KENNY ORTEGA found it
so hard to believe the King of Pop had died on 25 June (09), he
insisted on calling the promoter who broke the news back - to make sure
it wasn’t a hoax.

Ortega had already started rehearsals and was awaiting Jackson’s arrival when he first heard about the tragedy.
But he was far from convinced Jackson was dead - even when members
of his own family called to confirm the bad news, which was being
reported online and on TV.

He says, “Our phones started going off and text messages and phone
calls saying, ‘Is it true? Have you heard? This station is saying
that…’ and, for quite some time, I just kept thinking to myself that
the gardener could be going to the hospital, not Michael; that anything
could be happening.

“Knowing the media and the way that it works around Michael, I just
didn’t go there at all. I didn’t allow it to be that. Then it got more
intense and more intense and then eventually I got a phone call from my
family and then some pretty well known journalists and then from the
hospital itself, from one of our promoters who said, ‘Michael is here
and it is Michael. We’ll let you know when we know more.’

“All of us got together, the entire company stopped and we and we
put Michael into the circle and all of us just imagined him back with
us and in good health. We wanted to believe that the circumstances
would end up bringing Michael back to us. Time stood still.

“Then I received a telephone call from one of our promoters who said
Michael had died. I made him repeat it three times because I thought
that I was hearing voices. It didn’t feel real. It was surreal. Then I
said, ‘You know what, I’m going to hang up and I’m going to call you
back and if this is really you then you’re going to answer the phone
and then I’m going to know it’s the truth.’

“We called him back and he answered the phone and I said, ‘Tell me
something that only the two of us would know.’ He said, ‘Kenny, it’s
me. It’s Paul. Stop it. Stop it. Michael’s dead.’ It just felt like
everything inside of me, like a building, collapsed. Everything inside
of me just collapsed like a bomb had dropped. It was dark and painful.
It was really horrible.”

that was not the way he was acting at the memorial though... he seemed better, much better
you know I can relate to the feeling he's had when hearing the news because I felt the same, but one thing I tell you: I couldn't recover so fast!!!!
At first I couldn't wach TV, it was too much so I couldn't see the weird things happening....only weeks later...Smile and I felt much better too..

We can't let this get us down. Unless I missed it, when did KO say all this? I know the article is today but I didn't see when he said all this. Is it possible it's just yellow press or on another level, Michael isn't ready to come back yet so KO has to keep it going?

So, why did he act like nothing happened at the burial? Everyone did though...

When it is true, how could they all laugh so much at the funeral? How could they have so happy faces???
How can they recover so soon? I know that many of us are crying a lot even today, so how can they be so strong? I understand that they are good actors and they can hide their feelings better, they are used to it, but we are actually strangers.... and still crying. I've just learned that in TII there's no mention of the O2 concerts at all and no mention that MJ being dead, nothing at all. Not even a message like "in the memory of MJ" or a dedication to our beloved Michael.....Come on Kenny!!!
yeah I know there is a dedication to his kids but that's different......

What he said somewhat contradicts what others have said, AGAIN!
Randy Phillips was at the hospital. The first one there, even before the family. So how could he not believe it when he heard it on TV? Didn't RP call him? That's what you would expect, right? And who is Paul? I thought RP was there... Jackson’s Musical Director Refused To Believe The King Of Pop Was Dead Icon_scratch
You see what I'm saying?

Thanks HUMAN_NATURE for the info.

4EVERMICHAEL, thanks for your thoughts,too.

Isn't it obvious that nobody, no one really mourned Michael's death(which I don't believe that he is dead) and from the memorial, funeral and now the Movie- God don't they have any conscience because people know what real emotions are. Everybody is just sooooo happy for their chance they had with the memorial, funeral and now the movie. I can't believe all these events following the JUNE 25.
Whether it's the family, close friends, associates, and media - they can't fool everybody.

I wrote what I felt in one of my literary works. It goes like this:
THE DEATH
There's always something new being stewed every single day,
From whoever wants to gain the most from JUNE 25,
It's unbelievable the degree of greediness they take on,
And how gullible some seem to be when vulnerable.

The incessant wanting for more from the core,
Demonstrates how people value their own souls,
It's a pity that their conscience have been deadened,
That's THE DEATH that occured on JUNE 25.

I am so ashamed and so angered because it's no longer funny when emotiions are b eing toyed with and the minds are being fed with different conspiracies. May God have mercy on the souls who exploit wherein the secrets and the lies will eventually snap back to the one who controls.
