ZOMBIELAND

I'm starting a Zombieland thread, because after I read that comment on the IMDB site :

With Bill Murray, this is the first time I've seen an actor introduced into a film exactly as if he were a piece of product placement, along with ample cringeworthy toadying. It felt as if the studio had said, "the script's not long enough, and we need an extra 25 pages. Bill Murray owes us a favour, so you can have him for an afternoon, if you like. But you only have an hour to write it." They remark on how much he looks like Eddie Van Halen, which is bizarre, because he clearly looks like Michael Jackson. But maybe they thought referencing Jackson would have felt too much like introducing a joke into the film.

I'm sure Michael performed in the movie, and I think we'll have a lot to say about it on November 25.

Ok but has anyone seen the movie yet? Because on IMDB it says it is supposed to be out in theaters already..in the US anyway.

There were preview screenings.

Keeping on looking for info on the movie : I found someone has advised to "stay in the theater until after the credits finish rolling for a special treat".

This is crazy. I just checked some websites and the cameo guessing is ridiculous. I think they are trying to keep as many names as possible in there so people will still be surprised when they see it.

OOOps, you're right ! It's not an international release, and all my theory has just collapsed.
But I'll go and see the movie anyway to see the Van Halen thing.

Oh yeah and Jennifer Batten talked about it too now I think about it
We all agreed that it had nothing to do with the hoax but now it's coming back to haunt us!

Also Zombieland is under Columbia Pictures just as This Is It and the movie 2012 and Comlumbia Pictures is part of Sony Pictures entertainment.

I don't think that this has anything to do with Michael...

The trouble is each time we are looking for clues, we can find some.
For example (although I don't believe in my own theory anymore) Zombieland features an actor called Murray, the make-up artist who worked on the movie is the one who worked on Thriller, and Eddie Van Halen who is mentioned in the movie and appears in the soundtrack, worked with Michael.

As the regards the Jackson nephew, Taj seems to be the into the zombie thing.

As much as I miss Michael, and desperately want him to come back, I honestly don't think this is the way he'd do it... So many people have been and continue to be really upset since June 25th. Michael would never just pop up out of nowhere and say 'hi, it's me, I'm back.' He would need to explain his reason for the hoax to his fans, most of them, I believe, would understand. Michael loves his fans, and would not intentionally hurt them without good reason.

There is a thread about this on michaeljackson.com too, but the general consensus is that it is bogus.

I think there are some cruel people playing with the fans' emotions. We need to stand together firm, for Michael, until we know the truth.

I saw Zombieland ages ago, it came out in the US before This Is It.

First off, just because Michael's mentioned somewhere doesn't mean he's directly involved.

Second, what do they mean? That Bill Murray looked like Michael? Hardly...
