Admin Q&A

Ok so I'm not quite sure how to set up a new section for Admin Q&A so I am setting up a thread instead.

Any techinical questions like how to work the forum or how to post things in your signature box etc, please post in here and I am sure that Souza, myself or the other forum members will be able to advise you!

o.k. this might be a stupid question or I might not get it because I'm blonde. But can everybody see their own signature picture?... because I set it up and when I preview it it shows up so I save it...but then on my posts i can not see it. Is it supposed to be like that?

Hey Charmed6!

I think I know what the problem is. If you can preview your signature then it means it has been uploaded ok but you need to change your prefences. In your profile section there is a prefences tab and under there there is a box that says "always show my signature".

You need to check this and it should work. Hope this helps

@Rachel, was the thread that Jordy/Dancing Machine posted about MJ being "drugged up" while on tour in 1996 deleted? I was just checking threads I had posted on earlier and I can't seem to find that one. I know things got kinda heated in there so I don't blame you if you guys had to delete it, I was just asking.

Yes it was deleted. I was asked by Jordy to do so plus as you pointed out it did stir up quite a few emotions.

Great, Rachel. I've no problems with threads being deleted, but I would like a copy of the three lengthy comments I made on today's Michael Was a Druggie in Seoul thread. I had them open in a browser window, but refreshed the page before realizing the thread was gone.

Please PM the comments to me if you can locate a cache or backup copy of the thread. Maybe before removing threads all together, the forum PTB could consider closing them first for a short period and posting a message that they're being closed so people will be in the know. Thanks!

I totally agree with that thread being deleted, Rachel. That is too much of a touchy subject for everyone. I do agree with Lorrie though, I wish there was a way for us to access comments we posted if a thread ends up getting deleted. Of course, I guess that defeats the purpose of deleting the thread...lol

I'm so sorry that I deleted it without advising. I did lock the topic so people couldn't post anything but Jordy advised he wanted it deleting so I did.

I am currently on the forum help website to see if there is a way that I can get the comments back so when I locate them I will PM them to you.

I have only just seen your question so sorry for the late reply.

It means that it is usually important and contains certain information that members should read and when you go into a certain section it appears at the top for ease of referrence.

Hello miss j, I know your question is addressed to Rach, but I think I can help with your question.

Whenever, you send a PM it will first go to the outbox, once the person you sent the PM to, receives it than it will be displayed on your sent folder. Unless, the person opens/receives the PM it will remain in the outbox folder. I guess is sort of a confirmation that your PM was sent and received. Hope this helps If you have any further questions you can send me a PM or post them here!
