I don't think so. This is America, no one has ethics or morals that could make them keep their mouths and bank accounts shut for the good of anyone.

LOL...yes you are so right. Competition for ratings and the lucrative book deal would seduce many to chase stories and break agreements.

On the other hand...
What about the theory that MJ is involved with a government sting operation? I'm not sold on that one so my comment is based on a huge WHAT IF it were true. The govt could be spoonfeeding certain MJ related information to the media until the case has been completed.

I doubt that this whole thing is a media blackout, since the news of Michael's "death" is pretty much worldwide now.
