OK, AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO LOVES THE INTERNET?.. 20 Years ago, We would Not have been able to do this...
Research and Etc about MJ's "death".

We'd all be so sad and would have accepted it and never questioned it.

With the internet, we seem to want everything so immediately because of the convenience of it all.

THE INTERNET IS AMAZING.. You can FIND ALMOST anything...

I just wanted to say that quickly,...... Smile

I wonder if anyone else feels the way I do.....

If I was 13 or 14 20 years ago, and heard MJ passed, I would be like soooo crushed right about now....

Basically That would HAVE BEEN IT. No research really because we did not have the technology...

I am obsessed with the internet. If a page doesn't load in seconds I get so angry!!!!! I am such a baby hahahah Razz

But yeah I agree with you. The net has made it so much easier for us to question what we would just take at face value.

I love it, but I'm not too happy that I've become addicted to it. lol!

I remember when I was in my early teens I used to love glam metal bands. The highlight of my life was a weekly visit to a big shopping mall where they sold imported music magazines (I'm from Argentina).

Even finding out my favourite rock star birthday / height / marital status was reason enough to celebrate, cause I didn't have access to much more info than those magazines.

Now with the internet, it takes about 5 seconds to google somebody's name and find out loads & loads of info, videos, pics, etc.

If I were a teenager again, I'd be in heaven!!!

PS: Twenty years ago I was 13.

Oh, man, I grew up with the internet. I remember a time when it wasn't there and I just can't remember what I did without it! Message boards, forums, and other socializing sites make it fun, I think. Plus, information is POWER. Everyone has access to information now that they would have had to do research and study for long periods of time.
It's a great tool. There are a few downsides (lies spread easily, lots of manipulators, anonymity) but overall it's wonderful. I just hope that we keep net neutrality before people start controlling content more than they already are.

Oh COOL, ARGENTINA. It so awesome t chat with people all over the world! Thats another great think about the net. You can connect with the WHOLE WORLD!!!!

I've been TOTALLY addicted to the WORLD WIDE WEB since 1999.
ANd it has just gotten better over time and has become even more addictive..

I agree with ur post, getting the latest magazine with MJ on the front or one of my other faves "Al B. Sure!" on the front with a article was like PURE heaven to me. I would get so hyped, but now.. everything is so easy to locate, most times....

I was 13 as well 20 yrs ago.

YOU ARE SOOO LUCKY to have been able to have the internet while growing up! . I only wish I could have grown up with half the things our children, or children get to grow up with these days.
WIKIPEDIA would have been realll hndy when I was in school, instead of going to the library to look up a ENCYCLOPEDIA. HAah, most kids these days are like HUH, what's that?, You mean WIKIPEDIA right? LOL

And the downsides are plenty for sure.

I'm addicted to the internet. I get so angry When I can't get a connection or i lose a connection in the middle of something, I start yelling at the computer. LOL. thats when I know, I need a brake.

yeah, it's amazing. Back in 1993, during the first child molestation case, we really had no choice but to believe the media. I sometimes wonder how that case would've turned out if the fans had had an opportunity to connect and investigate, like we did during the 2005 case.....

I know it's amazing in the space of just 10 years the internets gone from strength to strength... it's weird when I see younger kids on the internet because they wouldn't have known life without it really!
