LOS ANGELES -- Michael Jackson's family has ordered yet another autopsy to be performed on the singer's drug-ravaged body in the hopes of coming up with evidence of "foul play" -- and a potential murder rap, sources told The Post yesterday.

Family matriarch Katherine Jackson is leading the charge, insistent that her son was intentionally slain -- and she wants somebody to pay for it, the sources said.

The LA County coroner has yet to rule formally on what killed Jackson on June 25.

But the family has been briefed by the coroner's investigators, who essentially agree with what the Jacksons' previous private autopsy discovered: that the King of Pop was a habitual user loaded with prescription drugs when he died. Without evidence of anything else, this would make murder charges highly unlikely, sources said.

"Katherine Jackson looked at the results of the second autopsy, and she wasn't happy with what it did not reveal to her," a family source said, adding that the heartbroken mom is willing to hire even a fourth or fifth pathologist until she gets her desired result.

But there still is the possibility of a manslaughter charge based on negligence.

Cops have already paid multiple visits to the home, offices and storage lockers of Jackson's doctor at the time, Conrad Murray.

Well-known pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht, who has no connection to Jackson's case, said he sympathized with the family, but insisted that no new autopsy will yield different results.

"This is nonsense," Wecht said. "There's no more bodily fluid, no urine, no blood, no bile. The organs and tissue are in formula. There's going to be nothing new that can be gleaned from the body."

The third autopsy will be conducted before this weekend, at another location outside the coroner's office, sources said.

Jackson, 50, suddenly collapsed at his rented home in LA, where he was rehearsing for a concert tour.

On Monday, his mother won permanent custody of his three kids. But it appears that Joe Jackson, her husband and Michael's father, won't have a hand in raising them, amid concerns of his past alleged abuse of Jacko.

Joe, who lives separately from Katherine, in Las Vegas, wrote in new court papers that he only occasionally visits his wife.

Meanwhile, a probate judge has scheduled a hearing Monday on a deal for a full-length movie filled with footage Jacko's last rehearsals. The judge wants to find out if Katherine Jackson has any objection before signing off on it.

MJ was never on drugs. Look up the interview they had with Lou Ferrigno (Michael's trainer and) on Michael's heatlh before his death in one of the threads.

Nothing is logic, and sure, the new autopsy will give the same results.
But about his identidy, if it was the only problem, a DNA test can confirm his identity

And ANOTHER autopsy just proves to me that whatever info they are feeding the Jackson Family is indeed crap. Katherine is a smart woman and is seeing through the bullshit. They are obviously telling her something she doesnt believe....why would they want another autopsy? But then again, last week when they were "shown" the results, they were said to be devastated. About what, I have no clue. Were they devastated at the amount of drugs in his system or are they devastated and what WASN"T found??????

I have nothing but respect for Mama Jackson, I really do, but what the hell is she really doing? What is it she wants to hear? She didn't like the results from the 2nd autopsy so she demanded another one?
Mama Jackson if your son is indeed dead, there is nothing left of him to get you different results...

But this article just answered the whole tox reports coming back next week....I don't think that will be happening if this story is true.

I heard that Katherine Jackson and her family hired a private investigator to find out what happend to Michael. Oh yeah, did I ention that ET said it? so I am not sure I could believe what they r saying..

You know this is interesting because last week there was a sever accident on the Taconic here in NY.

The women drove down the wrong side of the highway and killed three men in one car and took out herself, her 2 year old daughter and three of her nieces. The only one to survive was her son and he is in critical condition.

Now supposedly she called her brother and told him she was not feeling too good.

This was info was released I believe day of the accident. Now the NY police asked for a rushed toxicology report. Guess what is was reported yesterday that she had smoke some weed and had about 10 shots of vodka in her system. Not to mention that there was a bottle found in the car.

So how is it that here in NY there were able to get a rushed toxicology report and they can't even get one going in LA? How many autopsies do one need on a dead body?

At this point if MJ is really dead (which by the way I don't) would there be anything left to sample? Seriously they are up to 3 or 4 exams?

That's a very good point! Just because tox reports CAN take weeks doesn't mean they HAVE to take weeks.

A third autopsy would be pointless because tissues and samples needed, including the brain, for forensic examination have already been removed, added the source. Michael's body has been embalmed and is now "a shell" with no forensic value.

Los Angeles Deputy Medical Examiner Dr. Paul Gliniecki agrees that another autopsy "would be totally pointless." He points out that in high profile case like Michael's the first autopsy is likely to have been done with extraordinary detail and thoroughness.

"We can still run tests, but the toxicology results are compromised because they replace blood with embalming fluids. It changes the chemistry," he explains.

"During an autopsy, everything is sliced and diced…everything mixes together. Even a second autopsy is compromised."
