I'm nervous because if this is the only copy of them do we trust LaToya?

I would think they would have been in a safe. If they were just on his computer I'd be shocked if he didn't back them up somewhere. To have just one hard drive that has everything is crazy, especially if the estimated value of these songs is in the multi-millions...

I hope not, but I would have thought there should be back up somewhere else.

But what about all the cctv footage that went missing and it was also claimed that the cctv footage was downloaded onto computer hard drives and they went missing too. Do you think the family have them?

there definitely will be backups or to be more precise: what MJ had on his computers WERE backups.

he had no studio in his new home, did he ?

so these tracks were produced somewhere else and I guess what MJ had on his drives were mixdowns of tracks but not the original multitrack parts. They still will be somewhere with the producer or at the office of MJJ productions.
And WillIAM would be a fool if he hadn't saved the backups


by the way: if MJ got an advanced payment by sony to record new songs then the songs belong to Sony, so they might have copies or the original multitracks / masters

well, but he can't do anything with it while he is not a producer / a sound engineer.
As far as I know MJ was never very talented in this technical stuff but a genius with making up melodies and lyrics

I wonder if the hard drive also had the security footage...

I also wonder if the LAPD ever recovered that footage when they did their various searches.

I wonder if all those security cameras were put in to record all this footage for the movie?
