Is TMZ Kidding Me??

Have you guys been on tmz.com today? They have 3 new "news" stories the two that aggravate the most are the ones about two ppl, a hairstylist and some other weirdo trying to sue the Jackson estate. They are just utterly ridiculous. Why is TMZ even giving this so much coverage. Why wont they talk about anything that we care about like where the hell is Conrad Murray!

hi, everyone. TMZ has become quite interesting. whereas it used to be thought of as dishing out tabloid trash, it does seem now that it's often, if not always, the first to have something new on MJ. it was even said that it already reported on MJ's death before Jermaine actually made the statement.

anyway, i'm sorry if this is already somewhere here in the forum. it's one of the things i am pinning my hopes on. remember when the LiveLeak video came out and TMZ reported on it on August 25? they said (please look specifically at the words i made bold and blue):

it's one of those crazy reports, just like the one mentioned here by the OP. but it has a footnote which said:

In related news, unicorns are real.

and i believe they were referring to the video, and stating that they know it's not a fake, as RTL claimed it to be.

out of the 200++ comments, only 4, if i remember right, caught on. it's not something one would notice easily because the footnote had been added to a seemingly randomly selected previous article.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Ok here are my thoughts on TMZ. I think they are Michael's "brick man" and they are been leaked this information from someone in the Jackson clan or possibly Michael himself.

I also believe that the LiveLeak video is real and has been recorded and leaked by someone who wasn't meant to ever see this happen. I think TMZ have tried to debunk this because it hasn't come from them and they want to be the number one source for everything. I bet if TMZ had posted it first they would have been insistant it was real, like the Tupac video they showed a few months back.

Think about it. TMZ's hits have gone up by about 500% and if someone else claims to be in on the know they aren't going to like it one bit.

Just my two cents

hi Rach, thanks for the welcome. actually, the way i read it is that TMZ, through that footnote "In related news, unicorns are real" was saying that they believe the video to be real. it's like they gave a tiny tiny clue that is even so easy to miss because readers usually don't go back to an older article, and that is where the clue is.

i hope i'm not making a mountain out of a molehill, but it really struck me, and as i said, i need things to pin my hopes on, and this is one of them.

not surprising, i guess, Rach. the female fans' devotion to MJ is totally way up there. i guess the men leave it to us to try to figure things out for them. MJ said that about us when he goes disguised to certain places. he said it's the female fans he's so wary about - despite his best disguise, they spot him! he doesn't even have to speak, and they say things like, "look at the way he moves, his walk..." and there goes his disguise LOL
