Andy Kaufmann
For those who don't know:

Andy Kaufmann was a US comedian in the late 70s and 80s. He was on SNL for example and liked to fool the nation.

He died in 1984 of lung cancer. So far so "good"

But a few years earlier he wrote a book about a guy who faked his death, was "diagnosed" with lung cancer and checked in the exact same hospital Andy later really did.

Still some of his fans believe that this was the announcement of his hoaxed death....... and that Andy is still alive.

Kaufmann fans are waiting since 1984.... (would be 60 years old now)
Elvis fans are waiting since 1977 (would be 74 now... an age where some die of natural causes)
MJ fans will have to wait ??????????????????? well, foreverf maybe, that's why I say don't put too much hope in all of this. Even IF he faked his death it doesn't mean that we ever will find out for sure

I found the telegraph link and they say a website called: findpatrickmcdermott.com was set up and US investigators used it to track him down.

I remember when this story made major news in the US.
