"This Is It"/"I Never Heard"

"This Is It" was originally supposed to be on the Triumph Album, but he re-recorded it for Dangerous, but ultimately gave it to Safire. "I Never Heard" was released in 1991. Do you think MJ would release a cover of someone's song as a single? ...
What do you guys think?
