World Premiere of 'Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT' to be Webcast Around the World | Reuters

A chance for people to watch online. Wouldn't they sell more tickets if they didn't broadcast online?

If this is really true, then I think it's definitive proof that Michael is alive. He wants everyone, EVERYWHERE to be able to witness this, hopefully all at once, no excuses.

That was my question too. By the way, the shows are not all sold out. Why are they doing this? It makes no sense to me. Kenny Ortega has been thinking that they might extend the 2 weeks only, because of demand. Who are they kidding?

I am doubtful that the movie will be broadcast. It sounds more like just the preliminary events i.e. fans outside of the theater and red carpet type of stuff will be webcast. It will be streaming from LA so I can undertsand them making a big Hollywood event out of this.

Otherwise...I paid for tickets while others get to see it for free? Not cool.

Lol I said the same thing to my mother just now! Lol she also said she doubts the actual movie is going to be shown via the internet...Yea I dont think it's fair if some of us have to pay while everyone else can watch it for free

I agree with GirlSaturday...It would make no sense whatsoever to publicize this "event" for -how long-two months at least AND presale the tickets AND walk around guarding the footage to show it on the net ...sersiously. I won't be angry if they do-just sayin.

I think the opposite this certainly isn’t proof that he is alive. It is proof that SONY and AEG are doing everything in their power to have as much profit and viewers as possible. They saw how many people watched the memorial service and now they are thinking to do the same with the movie. And I think as an above poster said that they will not be showing the whole movie but perhaps short clip and preliminary events.

I says on www.ThisIsIt-Movie.com or www.crackle.com and is shown at 4.30 pm LA time. I will have to check what time it is in the UK, will be great to watch. Remember guys the more we watch the more we will notice irregularities etc.

I would be seriously surprised if they mean the movie itself will be shown. I'm sure they're talking about the events surrounding each premiere that is taking place simultaneously. Sony would be shooting themselves in the foot to broadcast the actual film itself. Not likely. They want the money too badly.

i checked too for my area and NONE of the showtimes have been sold out. i'm surprised, but at the same time not. even MJ fans have mixed feelings about the movie....but still....

i just checked crackle.com and it says, "live stream from the red carpet." i really, honestly doubt they will show the actual movie; i think they'll only show what's going on at the red carpet. it's kind of like what happened with the MTV awards...they had the live stream from the red carpet, and even once the actual awards started, the live stream stayed outside. that's what i think will happen tomorrow...but i could be wrong!

Thanks MJJSOULMATE, that's good news because more people will be able to see something. But as for those who did buy tickets, obviously they will be furious.

We have to see if it will really happen. If it will be seen online, I have some doubts because the internet is #1 being manipulated and controlled, so that means we will see what they want us to see. If there's a good samaritan somewhere who can OUTSMART them (again), this will be a great thing.

2-Which celebrities speak when interviewed
3-What they say and in what TENSE
4-Who is missing
5-Which celebrities are present and seem like they "shouldn't" be there

The ticket sales in my town havn't been so good either as my friend went to the cinema the other night and asked the manager, he said sales have been disappointing and he hopes a lot will show up on the days to get tickets. Methinks is a lot to do with the single which was 20 years old, maybe the world was disappointed with this so didn't rate the film would be good. I know I felt let down with the release of an old song.

@Harley, what i've noticed in alot of my friends - friends I wouldn't see daily but alot of them didn't know about the film. I know this sounds strange but these are people who are fans but not major fans. I would put poor ticket sales down to people not knowing about the movie.
Also strange again but I was told TII wasn't showing in Ireland a few mths ago and on Thursday night I found out it was showing in my local theatre for 2 days only so I booked my ticket for next wk but it could be a case of poor communication.
Most if not all films go on tv to be advdertised but TII didn't, I find this very strange. It's hyped up to be the biggest movie of the year yet there's no real advertising been done.

I felt the same. It is from Michael so I loved it of course. But it kind of made me think the movie wasn't going to be as mind blowing as everyone is proclaiming it to be. I'm sure it will though. It's Michael! Hehe.
Ticket sales haven't been so great in my area either. I thought there was going to be a line of people on the day tickets went on sale. But I was the only one!!! Shocked

But just now I went on the TII ticket site and saw that all of the tickets for my showtime are sold out now. Wow!! affraid

It's going to be really crowded. Gotta get there early. Only about 27 hours to go!! Lots of love. <3

I doubt they gonna show the whole movie online because its not fair to the one´s who bought their tix already and it also makes no sense because .... we are talking about AEG /Sony....the MONEY GRUBBING A*** they wouldnt show the movie for FREE Evil or Very Mad

What i can imagine is that they´re gonna show the red carpet as mentioned before AND a BIG SURPRISE because its LIVE ALL AROUND THE WORLD !!! There has to be SOMETHING!!! They dont show that because of nothing. U know what I mean?

What I've found strange: They've only been showing TII commercials in Boston for about a little over a week or so, I've been seeing the commercial at least twice a day everyday (and I stop in awe and stare at the TV not blinking until the commercial goes off) but today, I've not seen the commercial once, the night before the midnite premiere...hmm THIS IS IT Premiere online Icon_bounce

I keep hearing that too.WTH? Is it going to be FREE online for us to see the movie while other paid to see it in the theaters? I dont get it?

I honestly doubt they will show the movie! It would be a pretty bad business move for Sony IMO. And I don't think they can afford to fool people like that! Think about all the next projects they intend to do? Not just MJ related. How many people will buy knowing there is a possibilty they will give it for free. NOt to mention how many people won't buy the dvd or whatever tickets are still left for the movie. I think it's just another bate so people will watch. Just like many others they have done in the past.

The Michael Jackson movie This Is It has its world premiere tonight in Los Angeles. The premiere is expected to draw in hundreds of fans, as well as Michael’s brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Randy.

The world premiere will take place at the brand new Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14. The theater is marking its grand opening with special showings of This Is It on all 14 screens beginning at 9:00 PM.
