An opposite movie might be a bit unsettling for many fans. Perhaps This Is Also It (opposite) would reveal some secrets. Not hoax related but peformance secrets such as how doubles were sometimes used and that MJ would sometimes lip sinc. You know... pull back the OZ curtain and show fans that the perfect performer and performance was not without flaws.

To me it most likely seems to be a Part 2 as you said about the end of the movie. As for the additional footage to be added to the DVD, I always wonder if that's for real. This Is Also It-Weird! - Page 2 Icon_lol

Yes that is the question! If both websites are owned by the same person it would be no issue I assume but how is that possible now we know it went from being redirected to MJHD to being redirected to the official this is it movie website.. I hope someone knows about this stuff to clear some of these things up.

What I find weird is Sony are releasing "This is also it" so if fans "not us" type in thisisalsoit.com they get directed to MJHD - this is clever if you want people to doubt MJ died!! Who's behind this...

I noticed thia earlier as well guys and posted it in another thread.

IDK, what is going on here but to me it's one of two things:

* Amy set that website up herself in order to generate more traffic to her website and changed it for legal reasons.

or

* Sony/AEG set the website up and directed it to MJHD for some reason we can't see yet.

OK folks, I thought the explanation for this redirection phenomenon was simple. NO need to worry - I thought. Internet is technical and technical stuff may fail. But everything that is technical has a logical explanation after all. My best guess was that the following happened.
xxxx is being hosted on a server (which is a bigger PC than a desktop but still a PC). The server belongs to a server center of godaddy.com in Arizona.

If you look at the whois of thisisalsoit.com, www.domaintools.com says this:

ThisIsalSoit.com Whois Record

( This Isal Soit )

Change Word Breaks

Whois Record

Registrant Search:

"Domains by Proxy, Inc."
was found in about 8,266,838 other domains

NS History:

1 change

2
unique name
servers over

0
year.

Whois History:

3 records

have been archived
since
2009-10-30 .

Reverse IP:

5,272,026 other
sites

hosted on this server.

If you look at the whois of xxxx, www.domaintools.com says this:
Whois Record

Registrant Search:

"Domains by Proxy, Inc."
was found in about 8,266,838 other domains

Registrar History:

1 registrar

5,855 other

hosted on this server.

What do we conclude of the above technical chinese?
1) a website is never alone but has a lot of other website pals on the same server. Like you have a lot of files on your desktop.
2) thisisalsoit.com has currently
5,272,026 other
sites
in his close neighbourhood - which means that the server may be confused sometimes which file to sort out to get you where you want to go. (This happens indeed and sometimes even databases of different domains are being mixed up - which is a hell of a disaster for any web admin, especially if the content of your site is about flower decoration and the one of the other is adult stuff.)
3) xxxx is a lot larger than any new registered domain and has only
5,855 other
sites
on the same server.
4) When a new domain is being registered, it is being parked somewhere as it does not require much space. So maybe it was filed temporarily on the server that serves xxxx - my assumption

Now comes the strange part:

When I first typed the thisisalsoit.com, I did not get redirected to xxxx but to thisisit-movie.com which belongs to Sony and IS NOT located at any server of godaddy and is not a private site.
The URL redirecting me here is "thisisalsoit.com" typed into the browser.

Now at a second try I got redirected to the trailer of 2012 http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/2012/
The URL redirecting me here is "http://www.thisisalsoit.com" typed into the browser.

I rechecked the whois of thisisalsoit.com and found this:

We have 3 historical whois records for Thisisalsoit.com.

Here is a complete list of dates that we have whois records for.

Dates in red are privacy protected.

Upgrade your membership to view the historical whois records!

2009
2009-10-30
2009-10-31
2009-11-01
And on another site we know well there is a similar pattern to change the whois on a daily basis:

We have 102 historical whois records for xxxx
Here is a complete list of dates that we have whois records for.

Dates in red are privacy protected.

2009
2009-06-27
2009-06-28
2009-06-30
2009-07-08

.....

2009-10-29
2009-10-30
2009-10-31
2009-11-01

So if we assume that the redirection pattern would indicate that Sony had registered the site thisisalsoit.com I would not be astonished about that. It is common to register similar domains to the main domain for typo and marketing reasons. Just that the domains discussed above and the target redirection Sony domains are sitting on different registrar and hosting services. Huh ?

Why would a company like Sony register a marketing and redirecting domain with a registrar that does private domains? Or why would a private registrar redirect to a company's domain?

Further we read on the whois registry the strange wording of
( This Isal Soit )

We look for Isal in the web and get this e.g.:
International Society of Artificial Life

Portal with information on conferences, publications, and activities of the society. ... Welcome to the site of the International Society of Artificial Life (ISAL) ...
www.alife.org

We look for Soit in the web and get this:

SOIT (stay only if temporary) (Company)

SOIT is a Brussels based contemporary dance company founded in 2002 by Hans Van Den Broeck, who is also director (cinematography and video) and choreographer. The company's work blends dance, performance and video. Cie SOIT has participated in Ulti'mates, a project initiated bu Ultima Vez/Wim Vandekeybus, since 2006.

And now folks, I am completely lost on this one.
