The song ..."This is It"

This may have been discussed before but I am new and may have missed it....

I am wondering if anyone (Kenny, o....etc..) was ever questioned about the "This is It" song. I know that it apparently it was "found" in archived recordings (I believe recorded in '83)......and of course, the tour was called "This is It".....

My question is, are they just saying that it was a "coincidence" that they came across this song and were able to use it on the soundtrack and movie? Or, are they saying that MJ knew he would release it on the tour?

Just wondering....

Maybe I am not explaining myself properly, let's try this again....

The song on the CD just released, THIS IS IT......when was this recorded? The actual recording that is on the cd, did MJ record this a long time ago and it was just found after his passsing? Or, did they announce the tour (calling it This is It) and then MJ recorded it again.....???

nope, it's an old recording from the late 80's or 1983....

Ok so my point is this...and tell me what you think...If this was recorded by MJ in the 80s.....and just found in archives after MJs death, are they trying to say that it was just a "coincidence" that they happen to have a song with the same title as his supposed upcoming tour?

I just think it is funny that they actually have a song to include in the This Is It movie/soundtrack. I could understand if MJ re-recorded it in the last few months (specifically for his upcoming tour) but to just pull this song out of archives and have it for this movie???? SEEMS STRANGE

I think they said the reason they chose it is because it had "this is it" in it.

You can tell it's MJ's voice from the 80's and I can't understand why they'd choose a song that old otherwise. Especially since they had to pay Paul Anka half!

people have said the second version on the album with the orchestra sounds like a recent recording and there are differences i think anyway lol!

when you actually listen to the song.. he hardly says 'this is it' i think its something they probaby stumbled across in search of something else!!

its strange to say the least.. but the song is awsome an grows on you!!
