Problems in the forum
I do not know what happened, but Souza is really annoying note, I find it unfair that the actions of a group of people who probably are a minority is likely to reduce most people on the forum. This forum was characterized by the kindness of the people in it, I think that someone who does not support the opinion of another person, in no way should be in this kind of forum where so many people and diversity of criteria, the truth is a shame that people hide behind a computer to insult others.
I have read things in the forum with which I disagree, just as there will be people reading things with which I publish do not agree, so I'm going to insult anyone, this is a forum for discuss ideas for insults, so I would urge these people are going to behave all that we will all suffer

Re: Problems in the forum
Is anyone else having problems since the forum changes?
1. When I write a message and want to use an emoticon the message clicks and then disappears when I place my chosen emoticon in it. I lose the post altogether.
2. When I go back to the topic listing or "home", I automatically get logged off and have to log in again.
I didn't have these problems before so something about the changes is doing it. Question is, how do I or can it be fixed? Thanks.

Re: Problems in the forum
Same here but also if I try to post and a post has been made in the meantime when I click save it kicks me back to the log in page and I have to start all over. Like you, everytime I try to refresh the page it takes me back to the log in. I liked the style of the old one better but I am sure I will adjust to it once all the quirks are fixed.

Re: Problems in the forum
The weird thing here is, is that I changed NOTHING regarding the forum syyle, it's only included in the new site, nothing more.
I'll have a look at it tonight again, to see if I see anything strange.
Also helpful, would be one of your usernames and password, and tell me what I have to do to get that error, so I can see for myself.
Greetz,
Souza

Re: Problems in the forum
I've had all of the above happen to me every time I log on to the site and it is very frustrating.

Re: Problems in the forum
Ok me me! I also had a problem with the forum. You guys know that everytime the thread that you watched has new post, you'll automatically get a notification in your email inbox right? When I clicked on the link (provided in the mail) to get me to the thread, when I got into that thread I don't see any new post there. Hope you can understand me!

I have the same problems - I also seems to have 2 vertical scroll bars and 2 horizonal - it is very troublesome sometimes just to see the forum posts at all.
The MJKIT site used to be just a forum, but now there is a home page and the forums within - I also experience the automatic log off / time out - that never happened before.
I know sometimes change is hard, but I dont see any improvements to this forum structure at all. Thank goodness the left rail scrolling topics was put back up at least but maybe its just me personally I dont see how the changes enhanced the user experience at all

I have the 2 vertical/horizontal scroll bars as well and they are very cumbersome to navigate.

Re: Problems in the forum
Ok guys, give me a break here, I am working on it.
I have changed the lay-out to subcats again, and that should do the trick. Let me know if it still happens. There were some persissions unchecked due to the change, and I had to look them up.
The loggin-out is probably something new by forumotion, because that was never there, I'll try to turn that off.
As for the scroll bars, it depends on your resolution. If you rather watch the site on full screen, you can right-click 'home' and open in a new window, you will have the old forum size back. The scroll bars are there because some members have too big signatures and avaters, unfortunately the forum doesn't allow me to set a maximum size, that is why I asked everyone to check their avater and resize if needed. As from December first we have to delete those that are still too big.
We made the site (that is not finished yet) to provide you more info in the same place, besides just the forum. We are in the starting fase and we would appreciate a bit patience. The forumprovider doesn't allow a lot, so we have to work with it and try to get the right settings for the new site, but without putting it online, we can't tackle the problems. The original plan was to make a new forum, but in that case we would loose all the posts, and that is something I didn't want to happen.
As for the vieuwing and logging-off, that should be fixed now. If not, please let me know.
As for the rest, still working on it, I'll check on everything this weekend, but I have a dayjob too
