Writing to the Daily Mail...

So this is what I got so far... wondering if theres any bits you think I should change, what email address should I send it to and who should I address it to?

Before I even begin this letter I would like you to know that I am a 15 year old girl from Wales, UK.

I obviously don’t remember Michael’s first court appearance but I have read countless sources quoting information from both sides, and I DO remember the 2005 trial.



I have just read your article “Killed by the curse of Michael Jackson: What drove the father of Jordy Chandler to put a gun to his head?”

I cannot stand how you constantly portray Michael in such a negative light and make out his fans to be some sort of crazed lunatics. Newsflash – we’re not. I would like to bet that half the people you know are fans of Michael and you don’t even know it. We are not deluded and would be the first to admit that Michael Jackson was not perfect, but no one is perfect and he was a damn sight more “perfect” than any “news” reporter ever will be.



Some people only believe what you tell them to believe. You have the nerve to call Michael’s fans… “hero-worshipping”, “blinded to the truth” and countless other things when all they have done is seen through the lies that you have broadcast about Michael throughout the years. You have no evidence that Michael ever touched one of those boys and therefore cannot prove that what you publish is “the truth” at all. You choose the stories that will benefit you best because all you care about in this world if where your next paycheck is coming from regardless of whether the story you are printing has any credibility whatsoever and you don’t give a second thought to who might get hurt in the process.
The way you portray Evan Chandler as the “latest victim” of the “curse of Michael Jackson” makes me feel physically sick. How can you possibly show him as an innocent victim when, and I quote.. he was “friendless, and so totally estranged from his family”. His own son filed a restraining order against him “on the grounds of 'domestic abuse'”.. I mean, hello? Am I missing something here? “Jordan claimed he had been battered over the head with a 12lb dumb-bell and sprayed with mace. In his testimony, he also accused his father of trying to choke him.” Evan Chandler seems to be a really convincing victim. Excuse the sarcasm. Now I KNOW that no child would ever accuse their father of that without damn good reasoning. So whats to say that Jordy didn’t say that about Michael because his father told him to and he was afraid of the consequences if he did not? Speaking of Michael’s fans you said “They prefer to believe that Mr Chandler, then a respectable and affluent Los Angeles dentist, invented a lurid story of sexual abuse (and persuaded his son to corroborate it) as part of a lucrative blackmail plot.” Now, if you had bothered to do your research you would have found a substantial amount of evidence to back up this theory. So yes. People do believe that and will continue to do so.
Just to add.. what kind of father would accept money from someone who he accused of molesting his child?! Any SANE parent would want that person locked up, away from any other children…and you still believe that the accusations were true?! “There's no amount of money in the world that's worth any of that.”
You CANNOT tell me that Evan Chandler’s death was in any way Michael’s fault. I wouldn’t be surprised if Evan Chandler killed himself because he felt guilty that Michael had died…that he felt he had caused Michael’s death by accusing him of molesting his son. Don’t tell me that the court case had nothing to do with Michael’s career going down hill and the “dependency” on drugs. There are many people who believe this no matter what you tell them.
Frankly I am disgusted with the way you constantly portray Michael as “dark and destructive” as you so nicely put it. That is EXCEPT when it benefits you to print something good about him, for example: “He still had... IT! Dazzling footage of Michael Jackson rehearsing unveiled..”. Point proven.
You treat Michael’s fans like dirt for supporting Michael but how can you blame us after all, youre just using him to boost your profile. I do also wonder if you realise that when you insult Michael’s fans you are also insulting some of the highest names in showbusiness.. Elizabeth Taylor and Beyonce to name a few…they are his fans too are they not? Fans and friends.
One last thing. STOP calling Michael “Jacko”. Its disrespectful. Much appreciated.

Well done girl!! I saw an interview about the Chandler case last night on the Joy Behar show and I was really pissed that she too refered to Michael as "Jacko" ...What is wrong with these people...we all need to band together and start writing to the press letting them know how we feel...we need to try and right the wrong that has been done to Michael where the press is concerned!! We love you Michael and can't wait till you come back to us, then the press will really have to EAT IT!!!

So, we should all start sending letters to the Daily Mail. Also, I think it might be a good idea to all of us who have blogs to post these letters there. And also send links in Twitter.
