Well, who'da thunk?

Michael Jackson's burial is being postponed two days, according to his dad.

Joe Jackson tells TMZ the burial has been pushed to August 31, because there are things the family needs to get in order before Michael is laid to rest.

Jackson was scheduled to be buried on August 29, what would have been his 51st birthday.

Pfft... we so knew something like that would happen. Weren't we all saying that somethign was bound to get in the way of it so it would keep getting delayed or pushed. It's satisfying knowing that we were right all along, we can practically predict it now because it's the same delaying tactics that have happened for 7/8 weeks.

Agreed with everyone. I tell ya, this just keeps getting better and better.

Over at MJHD yesterday, they were talking about some psychic saying there would be a development today, August 20. Well, here we go.

I open my browser and surf over to TMZ, my first stop of the day for Michael news (go ahead and shoot me, but I like messing with Team Harvey in the comments), and this article is at the top of the page ... right on cue, right on time, and just as we'd ALL expected.

By the way, JACKSONOLOGIST: I stole a copy of your signature photo. You and me both want to hold him forever -- maybe we can take turns. Very Happy

Two day delay until 8/31? What is dangling that can't be pulled together and wrapped up by 8/29?

LOL..Do you get the feeling that there is some sort of "checklist" of things that MJ and his fellow hoaxers have masterfully created? I think that there has to be such a list. "This day we will leak X info to TMZ, then on another day we will allow Dr Murray to speak, then we will reshedule the burial "...etc etc etc. I can only just wonder about the wild surprises that may be coming up.

You know I saw last night on tv about the Grand or Great Mausoleum. They showed pics inside of it and it is GORGEOUS. The hallways are like walking down to see the Wizard of Oz... so I agree with Missdahmer. You cannot get inside that place unless you are family or a friend and you have to prove it to the security guard stationed outside the gate. NO ONE gets in there. Its guarded to the hilt.

Exactly! I've never seen it but it furthermore proves that paps and what not won't be able to get in and snap a few photos here and there, and I can almost guarantee media won't be flying over head in their helicopters trying to get a glimpse of the Jackson brood. Wanna know why? Because if they are claiming it is going to be 'private' now, that's kind of saying to us (the fans, public, etc) that there will be NO media there for that purpose. BUT WE KNOW that the reason no media will be there is because IT'S NOT REALLY HAPPENING. UHhhhderrrrrrrr.

James Brown took months to be buried because they were wrangling over the estate. he had a girlfriend and (I think) an illigitimate child and there were other kids as well. There were a lot of arguments as to who should get how much with the girlfriend saying that she was promised such and such and it got ridiculous. It's all a bit Anna-Nicole really.
Now MJ - there's no wrangling over his estate, there's no secret verbal promises or anything like that - it's raking in money and the executors are doing their job so there is nothing to get in order.
