I am sure they were told how outraged MJ Fans felt about MJ being buried on his birthday. Aside, from the fact we don't know what the local fans in L.A. did when they heard about this outlandish idea. I am thankful they decided to move the date back. Definitely, more respectful! Keep the Faith!

Exactly! I've never seen it but it furthermore proves that paps and what not won't be able to get in and snap a few photos here and there, and I can almost guarantee media won't be flying over head in their helicopters trying to get a glimpse of the Jackson brood. Wanna know why? Because if they are claiming it is going to be 'private' now, that's kind of saying to us (the fans, public, etc) that there will be NO media there for that purpose. BUT WE KNOW that the reason no media will be there is because IT'S NOT REALLY HAPPENING. UHhhhderrrrrrrr.

the media will be outside those gates, trust me. they will be hiding in bushes and wherever else they can squeeze their scummy asses. We just wont see what going on inside. Oh, theyll show the Jacksons driving up to it and walking in maybe but that is it.

I wonder how that turn out for them? I cannot wait to see it on TV!! Oh the anticipation is killing me!! Remember the Heinz Ketchup commercial? "Anticipaaattiioonn"

but I wonder what would happen IF the paps or whoever DON'T show up? and yes I do remember that commercial! hahahaha

You raise some good points in your comment, QUEEN. This thread is mostly about the fact that none of us are surprised the burial will (reportedly and allegedly) be delayed ... again.

I agree that Michael treasures his family above non-family, but it's also clear that there are issues among the members, just like in any other large and extended family. Heck, I totally empathize (not "emphasize" -- sorry) with loving 'em but not necessarily wanting to be around 'em 24/7/365, which seems to have been the case with Michael at least some of the time in the past.

Or maybe not. Who knows since, as you note, we're not part of his inner circle.

Katherine may be the matriarch of the Jackson family but she only receives 40% of the JF Trust - and furthermore she is not in control of anything beyond her OWN 40%. The children get 40% and various charities supported by Michael get the remaining 20%. These are the terms of the JF Trust as we know them and
Katherine may also be the matriarch - but this does not make her the omnipotent force in the Jackson family. She supports her other children because most of them are layabouts - fact not opinion - with the exception of Janet, Rebbie and LaToya who are either independently wealthy or in Rebbie's case have a husband supporting them and various music ventures.
The Jackson boys are in various states of employment or unemployment depending. They are not independently wealthy and many of them don't even own a home resulting in them bunking down in the Hayvenhurst Encino Compound with Katherine.

Finally, the Jackson boys DO NOT earn significant royalties or songwriting royalties from the sale or airplay/radiotime of their past songs when they were children signed with Motown.
According to the terms of their contract with Motown - Motown received the vast majority of the royalties AND all the songwriting royalties (the boys were not allowed to write their own songs - all songs were written by Berry Gordy's Jobete division) and the boys earned tuppence in comparison to what Michael later earned at CBS/Epic once he'd negotiated his contract. Motown also took the name Jackson 5 which meant that the Jacksons could not use the name again because it was owned by Motown.
The Jackson boys have also had various financial difficulties throughout the years because of lavish lifestyles and wasting what they did have quickly. This is why katherine has to try and support them.

I have nothing against the Jacksons and what I have written is the truth whether people want to accept it or not. Most of the Jackson family have needed their mother - an elderly woman who already has problems of her own - to support them when it should be the other way around. Katherine should be enjoying her golden years

Like I said, be civil. We all have to use this forum and it helps when people aren't blowing their top over every little thing when I am sure we can all behave in a mature and rational way. That's all I have to say, I'm not trying to start an argument.

Ditto that, I PM'd MBMJ to see if she was ok and tried to cheer her up a bit, I don't want her to get affected by this queen person when she's just started making progress which I am ecstatic about.

On Monday, Papa Jackson revealed that MJ was to be buried on August
29, which would have been the singer's 51st birthday, at Forest Lawn
Cemetery in Los Angeles. But on Thursday, Jackson told TMZ that the funeral would be pushed back to August 31.
Then, later in the day, Joe told E! Online that even that date might not even work out.

Okay.......just watched the local news here in Las Vegas. According to Entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs, Latoya told her today that it was first changed to August 31 because Katherine didnt want MJ to be burried on his birthday, plus, not all family members were able to attend on that day, ect. NOW......Latoya told her it has been changed to Sept 3rd because the family wants to make sure there are no other events taking place that day as well as no other
services being held then at the same time as Michaels service.
