I remember her being there. How could you guys forget!!! She sang "I'll be there".........I felt bad for her cus you know she was trying so hard and Im sure she was really crying....do you guys think she knows about the hoax or not? Maybe she's a good actress? I saw her movie Glitter and it,, well.......wasnt the greatest. What do you guys think?

"Glitter" is the worst movie ever, and is on par with Britney in "Crossroads" IMO.

I don't think the guests at the memorial knew/know about the hoax. It would be too risky for them to know. I think only immediate family and people who need to know are aware of the hoax and the reasons surrounding it.

i do think people were randomly chosen to perform at the memorial but had no idea about the hoax. altho it doesn't really explain why a lot of them seemed very unemotional..

Oh come on now....playing with words again? I think this was just a normal reactional phrase. Anyone would have said just the same thing...IMHO

LOL so true...I didn't see any "I can't sing because he is in front of me" emotion in her til the end of her performance. I think she was trying too hard, though.

*Off topic*- I don't know much about American culture and how they are supposed to dress at a funeral, and I don't mean to judge, but wasn't Carey's dress a little too sexy for this kind of event?

Yes she was married to Tommy Mottola. Then she saw sense and got away from him!

I thought she was. I'm glad she got away from him.

IMO, yes, Mariah's dress was a little too "spicy" for a funeral. And a few other people I talked to after said they thought the dress was inappropriate too. But, didn't LaToya wear a backless little number to the burial? I mean that's...idk...*shrugs shoulder*

Yeah, that was tad bit too much for a funeral. That is something you would probably wear at a party or something.

I would have worn a shitty black dress, I would never wear again...

She did look like she was going to be on the red carpet for some kind of event or a party..not a solemn occasion like this was to have been.

Mariah always dresses like she's on the red carpet. I believe it's all about the photographers. Whatever event she's at she must shine. I believe it's just who she is as an entertainer. She's on the cover of one of the magazines. It looks like she's going to be a mom. LaToya on the otherhand is an 53 yr old woman trying desperately to recapture a youth that has eluded her. Her neck shows her age vehemently. The elasticity of the skin on her neck is completely gone. Perhaps, she should consider lifestyle lift. It works for the general public. I am not trying to be mean but I just don't like the way some of the Jacksons display themselves publicly. Keep the Faith!
