Chris Brown Was Never Confirmed For Jackson Tribute
Posted on Sep 09, 2009 @ 04:40PM
Jermaine Jackson announced Tuesday that Chris Brown was due to perform in a special Michael Jackson Tribute concert in Vienna, Austria, on September 26th.
But then later in the day Chris' camp came out and denied it, saying there were no plans to perform. So what happened?
RadarOnline.com has the inside scoop.
"Chris was never confirmed to perform," a source close to the singer tells RadarOnline.com. "The producers organizing the event did approach Chris' people last week and they were looking into it.
"Chris is a huge Michael Jackson fan so it was something that he was definitely interested in being involved in but being interested is a far as the process went. He 100% was never confirmed at any point to perform. "It came totally out of the blue on Tuesday when they announced he was performing, it totally wasn't true. Chris' people were amazed and I hear that Mary J Blige's camp had the same reaction, as she wasn't confirmed either. "When the producers approached Chris they promised a whole list of
names including Madonna and Beyonce amongst others, obviously none of these names have materialized. The whole event sounds like a fiasco."

This is so Ironic in many ways ... I guess Jermaine's Plan seems bust at this point ... is it wrong to say that ?!
Re: Chris Brown Was Never Confirmed For Jackson Tribute
this is getting stranger and stranger and on top of that didnt the other article say something about this being an annual event?is it going to be this difficult to book acts in the future event if they cant put the first one together?

Re: Chris Brown Was Never Confirmed For Jackson Tribute
this is absolutely crazy! why even give us a list of "confirmed guests" when none of those guests even have plans to attend? we should keep an eye on the tribute website to watch out for any changes.

^seems that Jermaine thought if he made the announcement about cetain ppl performing, they would fall over themselves to join in. Seems not to be the case.
Here's another article about Chris Brown:

So Chris isn't even able to travel, yet Jermaine said he'd be there. Jermaine seems to be digging himself deeper and deeper.

No motion has been filed with the judge handling Brown’s criminal case,
court spokeswoman Vania Stuelp said, and the person with knowledge of
the singer’s situation said none would be filed. Brown, who is serving
five years of probation for beating his former girlfriend, Rihanna,
would need the judge’s permission for any international travel, Stuelp said.

Re: Chris Brown Was Never Confirmed For Jackson Tribute
that's a good point that i totally forgot about: chris brown can't travel. not to mention, he doesn't have the largest fan base right now anyways. maybe eventually when we check the site it will say, "SHOW CANCELED."
