That could be, especially since there was the promo video about the tribute out and playing it up big. You know that drew even more people in to watch. I thought Janet's tribute would be more involved as well.

I've only seen one Comedy Special featuring Russell Brand. He does have an off-centered sense of humor. He may just be doing his usual let's make fun of and offend everyone old self.

Beyonce was sitting in the audience with a look of WTF and shaking her head no in disbelief. Kanye handed the microphone back to Taylor and she stood there in shock as if to say what just happened. She was escorted off the stage. Kanye has always been very outspoken but clearly that was in poor taste. I truly don't believe MJ would have appreciated that happening at an event in his honor. MJ would never speak against another artist even if his sister Janet had not won. MJ has class! Kanye on the otherhand leaves people speechless. Keep the Faith!

Yeah, her music video for that song is morbid. I don't know why she ended up like this on the show because in the video she supposedly gets back at her boyfriend in the song. But for sure, the events of today have been completely classless.

I am not getting to see this so I am keeping via you guys-lol-I am so glad I missed GaGa and Kanye though-I know that Kanye "proclaimed" himself the "new" King of Pop-I do not know if this was before or after June 25th,but it really does not matter b/c MJ never proclaimed himself anything. Michael was always so classy.

i agree with you.i'm used to watch mtv award shows for a long time but this year is really wierd .they all seem very carefull with words, they talk about MJ everytme and that Lady GaGa performance was wierd but at the same time is almost normal for her did you guys notice she arrived wiith kermit

anyways, i agree that so far these awards have been tasteless with no class whatsoever. i did noticed that janet looked pretty peeved at the end of her performance...i dunno what that was about. but i hope i don't miss the trailer and any other clues!
