Abused Michael

I ust listened to michael talking about how his father used to oil him down before wipping him,feel sick.why michael ever talked to his father again he was not a father,and also how can a mother stand by and let her children get beat shes just as bad.How michael could go onstage and perform after all that breaks my heart.When you look at old photos of him you can see the saddness in his eyes.I feel I want to just hold him I hope he reads these forums and knows how much people loved him not just as a performer but as the kind gentle sensitive man he is.humannature123

Many fans felt horrible when that informaton was revealed. You are not alone in feeling sadness.

No child should have to undergo horrors such as that.

It was incredibly sad to hear and Girlsaturday is right. No child should have to go through this.

I suspect the abuse made Michael into the loving, caring sensitive man he is today. However, it doesn't make it any less horrible to listen to.

Just remember, what goes around comes around and the people who inflict such horrors on innocent people will get their karma.

OMG!!! I hate this.. I cant do this.. I cant talk about this.. I already shared some of my childhood with you guys, on the thread called" The lost Children" because I want adults in this world, to be aware of this.

I suffered as a child, I was abused in any way you can think of by my low life piece of sh** father.

No child should have to suffer like that... Its horrible, and you are left with life long wounds, wich never heals. Its a nightmare, a complete nightmare.. I can so relate to Michael.. I know excatly how this feel

It is up to us as adults to reach out to a child who has perhaps been hurt.

It could be a simple smile, saying hello, or telling a child who is running that you think that she is the fastest runner that you have ever seen.

It might make the sad child realize that someone cares and believes in him ot her.

The reason why Michael spoke to Joe is because the only way to be truly happy and have a contented soul is to be able to have compassion for others and to forgive....

At the end of the day people see life differently, and, as hard as it to believe (don't attack me for this) but what Joe did to Michael was out of love. They were very near poverty and Joe saw a talent in all the boys and eventually Michael and the only way Joe could find a way out of the poverty they were in was to put them into performing. And as hard as it is for you or me to fathom it, Joe thought the best way to grow their talent was through sheer discipline.

I know that what he did was wrong I just want people to see it maybe from another angle and I think this is why Michael had forgave Joe, at the end of the day they are father and son and however big an arse we think he is, I'm sure he still loves his son with all his heart xxxx

I respect you opinon on this Jubilee, but there´s no excuse in the world to oil up a child and hit him witJ an iron cord (sorry about spelling). I´m sure that Joe was aware that that wouldn´t do any good to their economic situation. Joe was a big bully and an awful father. The fact that Michael forgave him (if he did, I´m not sure) only shows that Michael is the bigger man AND he tried to get rid of his demons, he tried not to let Joe haunt him in his life today. I do agree although that we can never know what kind of relationship they really did have, only they knew. But I did heardit from Michaels mouth: the pain he felt.

Whether Joe loved Michael or not, I do not know. Only Joes heart knows. BUT he sure didn´t show it.

I get what u mean and although I believe that what Joe did to Michael and his sibilngs were unacceptable and unthinkable, I guess one has to forgive in order to move forward bcoz building so much hate within oneself would be toxic and therefore not healthy for him/her in the long run...

Michael did say that he was at peace with Joe durig his interview with Geraldo in 2003 and I admire him alot for forgiving him and being able to look beyond what he suffered at the hands of his dad..but I can't deny that what Joe did to his kids were horrible and if I were in Michael's shoes (bcoz he suffered the most) I don't think I would have been able to face my father let alone forgive him..

I am sure Joe would love Michael as he's his son however little that may be..but how could a father show such an excitement, giving a thumbs up and promote his record label the day after his sons's 'death'?

It made me feel sick because it really did break his spirit forever
but sometimes I think if Joe didn't do that maybe Mike would have turned out like every other person and not be so special. I know that sounds horrible but I hope you understand what I mean
