*Update* Larry King is retiring

Just saw this @ MJHD, the news came in at approx. 12:20est look at this (credit goes to jaded)

Just got a breaking news tweet on twitter (12:20 pm est) that 75 yr. old Larry King is reportedly stepping down in 18 months after his contract is up! For all of those that keep asking "How is LK going to jeopardize his journalist career by being involved in this?" There you go. He's going to be there for the reveal of the hoax and the aftermath then months later…he's retiring. I told yall back in JULY that I thought Larry King had to be in on it….
notice a trend of people stepping down/retiring? Look around, look around

First, LAPD chief William Bratton, now Larry King...hmm...he's been broadcasting since the 1950s now suddenly he's leaving....

I think this is an important sign pointing to him being involved in the MJ death hoax.

*update* I actually don't know how much this relates. I was so excited I didn't read the whole thing it says he is retiring 18 months from now...so i dont know. Make of it what you will people

I don't know what to make of this, was LK just retiring anyway. It sounds like these 2 people are losing their jobs because of the hoax.
I know they'll be set up financially for the rest of their lives but LK is around for years and he is very much respected so would he get involved and leave his job go all for this hoax.

Well he could use a break...I really thought he would die live on his show (not being funny) I could really imagine him diying right there on his desttop... sorry but I will miss the guy

My thoughts exactly. He is 75 and who knows how much time that he has left. I do believe that he had heart problems in the past. LK may just want to sit back and relax with a good cigar, cool drink and his pretty wife by his side for while. I view retirement as a good thing. I'd like to retire.

Yes, as much as many like to think retirement was after the hoax it could well be that at 75 he was ready to retire anyway as some retire much earlier. As much as we would like to think otherwise it is no proof.. My Grandad retired before that age as he kept forgetting things at work bless him!!!

I agree with the fact that he's probably retiring because of the fact that he's 75.
But, the fact that he's maybe retiring in the middle of the reveal? Coincidence?
LK probably saw this as the perfect opportunity to step down.
What better way than to step down by retiring at this opportune moment?
I'm telling you guys, it's all so perfectly planned.

This sounds more plausible, a contract may have 18 months left to run but you don't usually say you're ready to retire and then take 18 months do you?

IMO, I don't think Larry's retiring has anything to do with the hoax but, then again...*shrugs shoulders*...didn't he once say he rarely covers events like memorials and such and yet, there he was at MJ's Staples memorial doing coverage of it... *Update* Larry King is retiring Icon_scratch

I am suspicious of Larry announcing it so far in advance but maybe he has a reason. It seems strange in light of everything. Is he going to take extended vacations so he can be out of the country visiting you-know-who. After a retiring man can take lots of his owed vacation prior to leaving the mothership. PS Here is picture of Larry with MJ and Jesse at Jesse's 60 birthday. Didn't know Larry and MJ and Jesse (another uncrying friend) were all so close.

Well, just my thought!
LK is a famous person, with enough money to live on without going to work!
This is not his work, this is his life-time hobby! I believe, it is as impossible for MJJ stop being an entertainer, as it is for LK retire from his hobby!
Maybe...just maybe, he'll have a better project to focus on after 18 months!
