Propofol recall??

Hi All, I dont know if there has been a previous thread on this before and I apologise if it has but I came across this on the internet and dont know what to think. Does this mean they think he is dead as a result of that batch or is this a precaution? Read it and see;

Law360, New York (July 17, 2009) — Teva Pharmaceuticals USA has issued a voluntary nationwide recall of two lots of propofol, the powerful anesthetic that has come under heavy scrutiny in recent weeks after it was allegedly found in the home of deceased pop icon Michael Jackson.
The company said Thursday it had decided to recall propofol injectable emulsion 10 mg/mL 100 mL vials, lot numbers 31305429B and 31305430B, due to the presence of elevated endotoxin levels…"

i could be way off, but i doubt they know anything really. maybe they're recalling as a precaution and to make them look like they're doing the responsible thing? i dunno.

They seem to be saying that there was someting wrong with those injectables... they are blaiming the drugs for his death....????

Good find BTW, wonder why the media didn't picked up on this???

I thought about that before...
If the dosage was wrong ? Example 10mg was in fact 100mg ....I don't know but it can make a huge difference Propofol recall?? Suspect

so 50 become 500

But I still believe Michael is alive, so...we'll see.

The index of TEVA assets (manufacturer of Propofol) was not harmed - neither by the death nor by the recall of some charges.

Endotoxins in the drug (which is an oily emulsion) mean there were bacteria in it. There are strict rules as to how to apply Propofol in an aseptic way. We remember that the Propofol that was found at the house was not refrigerated but in a locker. Intoxication due to bacteria is known since 2004 in medical publications.

What comes into my mind now is a fight of pharma industry companies for leadership in the market.
Why not have a competitor trying to harm TEVA who happens to be the no. 1 generica producer worldwide ?
I am having difficulties in following up pharma news as to NASDAQ and company development and fights. Could somebody from the States help out on checking whether there was something going on?
