She was sworn in as a police office in Muncie, IL (I believe). Therefore she wouldn't have any "investigative rights" in another jurisdiction.

Nevertheless, because the house wasn't closed off as a crime scene, anybody could have taken anything from the scene.

It was a stupid, "reality" show -- just a stunt really. I don't think anyone of them are regarded as real police officers.
