He's alot like Michael!

I watches these videos quite often, it's Earnest Valentino impersonating Michael, and Michael was there, it was the event were he gave the speech about Sony and Tommy Mottolla(sp)

i couldn't stop smiling at the video! yes he definitely pass for michael, only the hair and the james brown moves failed......did he sing live?

Has anyone done any research on this guy? What's he been doing in the last couple of years? The vocals are almost dead on and with a year or so of training, the dance moves could be nearly perfect. This was 2002. It's 2009. Hmmm...

I'm just speculating. Not saying that this guy has anything to do with "This Is It", but I do think you're on to something.

No i don't believe he was singing, he was lip syncing to when Michael sung live in one of his concerts! yeah he staright failed with the James Brown moves and I have no idea with the hair...it looks chewed up! hey but practice makes perfect, that's what they fed me in elementary, I didn't believe it then and don't believe it now, but he's pretty good though!

He sang "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin" live, some of the other songs I think he lip synched. You can tell his singing voice was deeper than Michael's, but with practice it's possible to make it higher.

I haven't done any research, but I always had a gut feeling that michael may have used him! he has a myspace page also, heres the link!

but the routine was like from the tour.........but like he was singing live....wow that man is talented!

To me it looks like it was playback. His moves are really good though.

I dont know if he was singing. I just assumed he was miming....

No, MJ is right handed, it was Earnest who was left handed- a sort of mirror image of Michael.

I was interested to learn he was born in 65 so that would make him only 7 years younger than Michael and I always thought he was much younger. I find it hard to believe that the guy sat at the memorial was 44. No way! What do you guys think?

when I watching the video , the announcer said he had been impersonating Michael for some 20 odd years, so yes I can believe he is that old!

Oh, so he lip synchs all of his music? I watched all of his performance of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' " and he seems out of breath at the end and you can here him breathe on the microphone heavily (it didn't sound pre-recorded) at one point... I don't know.

So I looked up more performances and he's lip synching in all of them, but for some reason this performance of "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin" sounded live, down to the background singers. I know it sounds like Michael Jackson's live version, but there are subtle differences in the tone and phrasing that cause me to believe that this was one time when Ernest was not lip synching.

I do not know if he really sings. If you listen to just music, it could be MJ.

But what I find interesting is, Earnest bears the headset on the left.
MJ wore his headset always right, at TII MJ wears the headset suddenly
left. Is not really important, is really just a small thing, I noticed
first.

well..the latest news are that he will have a couple of concerts in Romania in the upcoming weeks...and I thought..what if it's MJ whose going to perform, but as an impersonator? That would be amazing!!!
But Earnest Valentino does a good job imitating him...but I could tell the difference immediately...his danceing is not as fluid and he looks a little different!!

He's got the moves down great. Love that! But I really think he's lip syncing. He doesn't even have a battery pack on for the microphone.

i think usually they clip it behind the singer on his pants or belt.

He was definitely lip synching. He can dance well though! Probably the best of the impersonators.
