Just make sure you don't end up staying at Jack the Ripper's house.

Annie, you have probably scared the poor girl half to death now!
I would icy but I don't live in London. If you want to want to travel 300 miles there and back everyday you can come and stay with me

It's ok to be a little scared. It'll make you choose the safest choice available.

Re: Anyone here from London?
I think that would be a wise idea icy.
London is very expensive so it probably won't be cheap, even in a hostel.
Are you coming over for any reason or just a holiday?

Oh cool
I will let you in on a secret...London scares me
I am from a big City in the UK but London is huge and everyone is always in a rush. I have only been twice and when I went on the underground I nearly fainted LOL. It was so hot and cramped and people were pushing you all over the place.
My dream is to live in Manhattan but if I don't like London I guess that wouldn't be a wise move LOL.

Re: Anyone here from London?
I am from England but not London. just be careful when requesting somewhere to stay as some on the internet are not who they claim to be-am not saying there are necessarily those on this forum who are not who they say they are but we do not know. A young Lady of 17 was recently murdered here in England as she befriended a 17 year old boy on facebook, went to see him and he was in fact a 32 year old. She had told her Mum she was staying the night at her friends house.
I think you may be better staying at a one of the small B&B's which is not on the main roads but within tube distance of all the sites and centre of London, look for them on the internet. You will have to pay but I am sure your families will feel better as regard to this knowing you are safe. This is a very cruel world and you should not put yourselves in any situations of risk at all.

London underground scares me too! It's really stuffy. But oh well. back in my country, everyone seems to be always in a rush, so I'm used to it =D
Anyway! maybe we could ALL meet up one day, maybe the day when we finally know the truth! It will be SOOOOO awesome!

Re: Anyone here from London?
Hi everyone,
I'm new here and this is my first post. I've
been lurking around since last august and now i decided to introduce
myself. I want you to know that i think you are doing an incredible
work and i also think you all are very smart, very kind, very sweet and
very funny !
But the main reason i'm posting now is to let you know about this site : www.couchsurfing.org
I think icy55 should take a look and see if she likes it.
I have two grown up sons ( 25 and 26 ) that have already used it and they did just fine. Once in Buenos Aires,
Argentina, the family was great, they were really nice people and they
became friends. Even myself met the family in a second time there, they
insisted to meet me because they became very fond of my son and we had
a special barbecue for us, it was lovely !!
I know this world is BAD, i think i know that better than you, i live in São Paulo, Br, i don't need to say much, you know already what it means !! but believe me there are a lot of nice people too !
Yesterday, my oldest son just flew to San Francisco, CA for a congress
and i asked him what he had in mind about visiting the city and he told
me he had already got in touch with the couchsurfing.
Well, it's just an idea trying to help !
