Out of topic - Anybody who lives in London, can you help me ?

Hi,

I have a son that is flying to London on nov, 25 and he has to get to Lyme Regis, a seaside town in west Dorset. My question is which is the best way to get there, by bus or by train ?! that's all he needs to know.

I guess London Waterloo train station - train from Waterloo to Exeter, getting off at Axminster sounds the best option.

"The nearest train station is Axminster, which is on a (slow but scenic) mainline from London Waterloo. Direct trains run to Axminster from Waterloo, Basingstoke, Andover, Salisbury, and Sherborne and they run on to Exeter and Paignton. You can find a current timetable by searching for Axminster on the South West Trains Find your timetable webpage. Once you're at Axminster, you'll need to catch the First Group #31 bus from outside Axminster railway station to get the four of five miles down to Lyme Regis."
