yes . if my memory serves me right , i heard this just a few days b4 June 25th.now this could've very well happened long b4 i had heard it , but that's about the time i heard this ' news'.

@ mjbeliever, that's really weird! if that's the case, then the timing of that is really suspicious, given sony's reputation and relationship with michael.

I remember the suit filed by ALLGOOD ENTERTAINMENT against MJ because if I remember correctly, Frank signed a contract in behalf of MJ to appear in the Family Reunion Shows which is against the contract made with ALLGOOD Entertainment.

I can't remember when, but it came out somewhere, that Michael said he didn't sign any contract. I don't know if I'm wrong and my memory is going PFFFF! with all the news feeds.

Where does that leave you at this point?
There are a few things that have to get cleared up. I have to make sure the estate understands some of the things that I know. I’ve been appointed to the board of Sony/ATV Music Publishing. So I have a role to play there. Michael wrote the letter getting me appointed. After they removed Dr. Thome, they added myself and Joel Katz.

We have no way of knowing what Michael did or did not know. For whatever reasons, he typically gave Power of Attorney (POA) to his management. They could then sign contracts in his behalf, make business transactions, and so on. This is probably what happened when the ten concerts morphed into fifty. Tohme likely had POA then and hence, made decisions FOR Michael. We DO know that Tohme called Randy Phillips and said Michael had agreed to fifty concerts. DID Michael agree? No way to know, now. A good manager always acts on behalf of the client and they talk though decisions. This happens behind-the-scenes, and we were not flies on the wall for this.

In the past, Michael's giving away POA caused him problems when he gave that much power to those who didn't have his best interests in mind. For whatever reasons, history has proven he was not always a good judge of character or the motivations of others.

There are two possibilities. One is that Michael wanted Frank on the ATV/Sony board to protect his interests. The other is that Frank's membership on the board was done without Michael's knowledge or agreement. No way to know for certain now, which it was.

I totally think Frank´s in on it. There´s a reason to why MJ brought him back 20 years later and this is Franks role in the hoax. MJ is not letting Sony get off easy and taking his share as they have wanted since day 1. I say go Frank. Hope I´m right

Chaos Theory states that even in chaos and disorganization, there is a plan (hoax).

Dileo achieved remarkable business gains over the past 4 months that he did NOT achieve while MJ alive.

maybe he took full ownership since then?? are were sure that he had some ownership at the time he spoke out against them? i dunno, just a thought...

i researched recently and found out that so long mj did'nt hold up his deal with sony i.e. to release a new album every so often , that the rights to his older work made with sony did'nt revert back to mj as he had hoped for by a certain date in other words the date just kept being pushed forward. As it stood at the time of his "death" the rights would only revert back to him by 2011 Also the mention of all the unreleased music that MJ had to secure the future of his children ...i'm thinking maybe sony would try to contest that seeing as MJ was bound legally concerning the rights of his older work towards sony that they would be entitled to any of his new or unreleased work that was made by him during this "bound" time so now i'm thinking about how shortly after the 25th of june someone was screaming blue murder that MJ's harddisk had dissapeared from his house the harddisk containing all or some of this new and unreleased work and i can't remember who accused who of taking it... but what if Dileo is now on Sony Board cuz i read somewhere that it was talked about befor 25th june that this would happen, put there by michael and is making sure on MJ's behalf that Sony don't get their grubby fingers on the rights to this new stuff or that the conditions of the legal stuff concerning his older work are respected

I thought the right reverted back to Michael after seven years, which would make it 2009, this year. Now that THIS IS IT has been released, including the "brand new song" This is It (ha, ha), Michael has fullfilled his obligation.

MJ artist had contact with Sony to write x number od songs for x number of years.
MJ the businessman, owned 50% of Sony.

MJ, as artist, wanted to fulfill song quota to MJ but was tied to them still by the x years.

He also stated that Sony underestimated him thinking that he was just an entertainer and didn't realize the businessman that he was and that he would be leaving Sony owning half because he had outsmarted them.

Am I correct or am I not remembering correctly?

Thanks, Holy smokes, I had not realize that Sony was that lucrative! Yikes, really big bucks! Geez, no wonder MJ was scared, man, that option represents SERIOUS money and could keep MJ in the style to wich he had become accustomed!

That 50% option on MJ's Sony's holdings is interesting.
