I am wondering if the 2 songs that he gave to Sony may have been "This Is It" and "Place With No Name". My thought process on this is because we have 2 songs we have been told about (even though we have not heard "Place With No Name"in its entirity) and Sony is a big part of the TII movie. Does this possibly mean that after this Sony will have nothing more to offer us and the remainder of anything new will come from MJJ Productions or another one of Michael's personal companies?

Also, I think that the part of Michael's assets that Sony has rights to are his Beatles catalogues. I remember reading somewhere that he "mortgaged" 50% of his rights to those but nothing more.

it seems like it would be positive cuz if he only had 2 songs to release, the "this is it" song could be one of the 2. that could be why many people were so "wtf" about the song (especially since it had been previously sang), cuz michael just plucked out an unreleased song that could tie in with the movie. after all, the title was changed to suit it. i hope i make sense...i even hope i'm understanding this all correctly!

If you look at an earlier thread, can't remember the title, there is a picture of a young MJ in his Motown ID Card and he signed it "Michael Joe Jackson", his passports and court documents show Joe but the children's BC and the DC show Joseph. At this point I am starting to wonder that without actually seeing his BC we may never know the truth.

Sony is not the big guy in the movie.
MJJ Productions is producer and owns the rights.
Columbia is distributor only.
The money goes 90% to the estate.
Sony owns the cinemas.
That's all.

Is it just me or didn´t he answer the question about Tohme Tohme at all? He got all twisted into Murray, and never said anything about Tohme, except for the "was he in the movie?". Isn´t it weird? It´s like he wanted to take the opportunity to clear things up about Murray because it´s important that people understand that he only met him once.

Thanks Grace for clearing that up. With all of the information that has come out recently I obviously got confused . Does Sony have the rights to the TII cd that was released? I thought they had a major part in this somewhere!

I also thought that they had a major part in this, because as far as I know Columbia pictures bought the rights for TII from AEG... And as Tommy Mattola said in an interview (not that I trust him) all of Michael's music belong to Sony. So I am not sure with this one, but I do think that we will be hearing more of Michael in the future; however, I believe that, that would be at the discretion of The Michael Jackson Company, LLC.

I heard differently...that Sony bought and owns the rights, and the cinemas are owned by the CEO of AEG. Sony will only get 10% of the profits from the movie, but 100% from the DVD. I could be wrong, but that's what I've read.

The reason why I doubted FDL was the suit filed by AllGoodEntertainment wherein it was also stated that MJ said he didn't sign the contract but FDL did.

The this and the that is so confusing and why MJ rehired him. Maybe MJ needed FDL's slyness to gradually control Sony so as to fight for the injustice done to other artists beside himself.

I hope so too. He seems very deliberate with his answers, and includes almost too many details, so it could be a good sign. He didn't choke up at 4:07 on part 5 though did he? I hope that was just a pause. I think he's very loyal to MJ, so I would be surprised if he wasn't in on the hoax, but you never know.

Funny he bypassed Thomme question-cause he DID say that MJ told him that he didnt want to deal with Thomme anymore and didnt even want to see him and asked Frank what they should do-and Frank said write a letter.
