Janet wants to speak

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
In her first TV interview since the death of her brother, Janet Jackson will sit down and open up with ABC’s Robin Roberts in a new interview, set to air on November 18.
Janet, who recently shared her memories of her late brother, Michael Jackson, to Harper’s Bazaar, will sit down with the TV journalist for “In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson.”
According to ABC, Janet is allowing cameras into her Malibu, Calif., home for the first time ever.
Variety, which first reported the news, wrote that Janet is expected to talk about the loss of Michael, who died on June 25 as a result of acute Propofol intoxication.
The interview will air on November 18 at 10 PM on ABC.

Michael & Janet adored each other, if this were LaToya then i'd say oh yeah definitely money but i'm not sure of Janet. I trust & like her.

IDK, out of the Jackson bunch, Janet is the only one that doesn't need $$, she has a healthy career of her own plus she is starting a lingerie line.

She is also the only one that hasn't been seeking out the media until now. My gut tells me that something is up -- using her to throw things off.

I do have one question that involves her though... Jermaine Dupri, her boyfriend, did he and MJ have any kind of relationship? I find it incredibly strange that she broke up with him at the time of MJ's death and then as soon as the media frenzy died down a bit after the funeral, all of sudden they were back together. I think that there were at a fashion week in Italy.

Just like you said city.gal1, she doesn't need the money.
At first when she wasn't talking, I thought it's because she doesn't want to become part of the hoax or deceive people so she just stayed out of it..but now since some time is passed she's willing to really talk about - I don't think that's a good sign for us

I do trust Janet-she never would even talk about Michael in her own interviews when she was asked and she is as private as he was. I really can't watch the interview b/c they were so close and it is gonna make me sad.

They broke up a while before june 25, he was supporting janet in this 'hard' time but the aint back together i think

If we're all here because we believe MJ may be "hoaxing" it - and if we all agree that Janet did a terrific job of acting (in her films AND on the BET "tribute" ) then we must watch and listen carefully.

I won't say she may give us "clues" but then again she may give us something important to notice, if we pay extra close attention.

If MJ is indeed "hoaxing" it, she would be in on it. Nobody has proven they can keep a secret and carry on as if the secret is NOT happening, better than she (she was married for years and her own family didn't know) and no sibling has proven that they don't need to piggy back on MJ's fame better than she (because she has proven that she goes out and creates her own success independent of the entire family), so I will be listening with my antennas UP!

I dunno...everyday it is like getting sadder for me-I know all the holes are there and Maurras videos really soldify my belief that something is wrong-but if Janet is gonna talk then I feel we are never gonna know what happened to him.

But I think if we find 'clues' it'll be because we're making them up - looking too much into it.

Just keep in mind, Janet was an actress first...anyone remember Penny on Good Times? The perpetually victimized abused kid that the Evans' neighbor took in? I don't think this will mean anything to those that have lost their hope here..but also remember that she loves her brother very much and would do whatever he asked of her.

Oh GOsh, the 18th can't get here soon enough.
Finally someone we trust.
Hopefully she will give it to us straight whether something really happened to him or not. Some kind of answer.
I like Janet so I am looking forward ot hearing what she has to say.
Hopefully, she will speak about her angry look at the end of the MTV performance. Let us know what that is all about.

if she mentions anything about the fans believing the DEATH HOAX and etc... I'm gonna be shocked....

She hasn't talked yet so let's wait to see what she says...This may very well be a message from MJ for all we know...There's a reason she hasn;t been talking much since june...and when she does talk people tend to listen...

She is trying to convince the fans that he is really gone, cuz there are more and more people and fans that believe Mike is alive, so they are trying to convince us

ok ok ok-breathe breathe -thanks guys. I usually don't get down but this kinda did it instantly. I don't think it odd that it is being advertises a week early because its JANET. I do kind of think it odd that she has been so quiet and is still coming our relatively soon.

I am taking this as a good sign. How many times did Janet NOT speak about other issues when they were going on with Michael? She respected his privacy and did not divulge information. Now she is suddenly scheduled to speak. She and Michael were closer than any of the other siblings and I think that she may be doing this only because he has asked her to. JMO!!!

I honestly like Janet and I have no harsh judgments of her. She hasn't done anything for me to look at her negatively, and I know that she and Michael share nothing but complete love and adoration for one another. I think she may be using this opportunity to dispel some of the negative things said about Michael. We don't know what will be said, but if I know Janet she won't make Michael look bad at all.

Just think about it, at the moment Michael can not come out and defend himself against the awful things people like Arnie Klein are saying about him. He can't exactly hold a press conference and say what he feels. He has to send messages through people he trust, and I think Janet is one of those people.

Let's not jump to any conclusions and just wait and see what she has to say. She may not be dropping "clues", to be honest I stopped looking for those awhile ago, but she could be sending a message. There have been many messages given, we just have to be wise enough to catch the message.

Give Janet a fair shake...she deserves the benefit of the doubt. Even if her interview is to solidify for the public that Michael is gone...it may be just that. It may be that the larger than life King of Pop personality has been laid to rest and Michael is living a normal life. In any case...I have no reason to believe that Michael has passed away. We are quickly approaching 5 months and I have yet to be convinced that Michael has passed away, if anything I feel he is more alive than ever.

When Janet talks, people listen. And I, for one, will definitely listen. She has her own way of sending a message to the world. And here's a side note, her Number Ones album drops 11.17.09 which is the day before the interview which is a statement right there if you think about it.

its def being done to throw people off. they know people are doubting things. why has it took her this long to speak??? almost like she is being told to speak by someone. i will watch the interview but will remain positive no matter what she says. we must remember the inconsistencies. why empty mj's house the day after and taint all the evidence!! crazy!! they ought to ask her that. its def to throw us off i reckon xx

They either want us to really believe that he's gone or give us more clues. She'll probably speak of Michael in the present tense and we'lll come back here and make a thread on it wondering why she would say such a thing. Well in reality, if he is gone, which i hope not, people can still refer to him in the present tense. We love Michael, not loved, because we didn't stop loving him when he left us. He's watching over us doesn't always mean he's in another room watching, it could mean he's in Heaven. I'm speaking from people that believe he's gone point of view. I do not. We have to look at the bigger picture. Every interview with the family or friends or event, we feel that we are going to get that feeling that he's gone, we haven't yet. It's been about four months, i don't think we'll ever get that feeling. Don't worry, have faith.

I think she'll be on TV to promote her album. Nothing weird in the fact that she's speaking only now because the disc will be released in a couple of days.

But contrary to Peace, I don't think it's natural or usual to speak of a dead person in the present tense, even if we still love the person. And it's precisely the reason why when some people disappear, the profilers focus on the tenses used by the witnesses. It's how they spot a murderer, because when people know someone died, they automatically use the past tense. It's a reflex.
For that reason, I find weird that La Toya is still using the present tense, and that, in September, after four months, Janet also used it before correcting and telling it's hard for her to get used to the idea.
Well, maybe there's some mannerism in the way they behave, I don't know. But the fact is that the people who have seen Michael's dead body should have switched to the past tense without even thinking of it.

But I just hope that Michael is feeling OK. Because he also knows that people have made suicide because Michael 'died' . and we all know Michael is sentisive.. so I just hope he isn't feeling to bad about it..

Yes, Good Times ran from 1974 to 1979 I believe. Janet wasn't on until the last couple of seasons. She did play her part very well. I think a couple of years later she went on to play Todd Bridge's girlfriend on Diff'rent Strokes. It's official, I watch way too much TV LOL

The suicide news i only heard on time and a lot of peopel commit suicide every day and they blame mj for that, he doesnt say to people Hey if i 'die' join me(understand were i wanna go?? and the blame part i dont know how to write that in english, so dont take it wrong)
And i was thinking about the interview last night and thought that i dont think we are getting new news only old stuff and the BAD things people say about mj and tell all those dumb people that its BS what all those MOFO'S tell them and put in the magazines JMO

Janet wants to speak, of that, if I that my brother dies actually, for that I have to convince another people?. Or it she is that she wants to explain to us some of these points;
January 2009 MJ 6 months of life (the people must think that this one I make 02 ill) 2-L to conference, very strangly the MJ that he speaks, it is what I think, a camera is seen behind of the curtain, if it is a conference for that a hidden camera?
En the public of 02 there is a man who meets in another video of MJ's concert, I believe in New York, am not sure now, sera one super fans of MJ that sige everywhere?

But contrary to Peace, I don't think it's natural or usual to speak of a dead person in the present tense, even if we still love the person. And it's precisely the reason why when some people disappear, the profilers focus on the tenses used by the witnesses. It's how they spot a murderer, because when people know someone died, they automatically use the past tense. It's a reflex.
For that reason, I find weird that La Toya is still using the present tense, and that, in September, after four months, Janet also used it before correcting and telling it's hard for her to get used to the idea.

You are right in a sense, but everyone's different. Apparently everyone close to Michael still used the present though. It's not a murder mystery for them, well not yet. Maybe they just want to keep him alive, in spirit or they haven't accepted it yet.
