This is my favorite MJ song....
I LOVE THIS SONG but am confused.........
If you google the words in the second verse you get this:

But the MJ video is different, I never caught the words for this verse till now They are different in the video just listen....might be nothing but "google" the lyrics for this song...he has more to say. I never heard the difference till now......

Hi there! I ran across this problem several months ago myself. I could hear him sing more lines than what I could ever find on the lyrics sites online.

In this video I hear him sing what sounds like

Every time I tried to find him
There were no clues left behind him

Also I swear it sounds like he says the following starting at 3:42

Dr. Murray is a physician
Selling heartbeats...intimadation

I tried posting this on the "official" michaeljackson.com forums months ago when somebody started a thread about "misunderstood" lyrics...nobody commented. I did mention it to several friends locally and they thought they heard him say "Dr. Murray" too

This is what I hear

Every time I tried to find him there were no clues, left behind him.
And they had him not knowing of the suspect or what to expect.

It may be right...but Germany has strict rules for some vids....
a lot of vids are not watchable here, because of copyright issues...
we have an organization called GEMA...they want some money if we watch some vids..
and they have a fight with youtube....and they haven't found an agreement yet.
That's the reason why some of us aren't able to watch some vids...

can't understand the murray part exactly..but the other lyrics are like you posted...

damn..I did some research....wiki says this:

[Even in the official lyrics there are signs. Remember when they ordered everyone out of the home? See the line highlighted in blue. Right there! Smooth Criminal is so catchy. Yesterday I was a little blue and downloaded Ghosts and Moonwalker to
watch. When I read this, I went to Moonwalker and the Smooth Criminal
part 4 times now. I definitely hear Dr Murray....

Looked at my Number Ones dvd and of course watched Smooth Criminal on this one as well... NO he isn't singing this..

yep and they're talkin about the movieversion... In Moonwalker you hear that part.. the album version is shorter and they cut out that verse
