Hello all,

Saw this on TMZ first, then I checked out the website:

In the first paragraph, here is a statement, "This website does not intend to convey the impression that the artists and personalities depicted here within have agreed to participate in the said event in any way, shape or form."

http://www.thetribute2010.com/legal.asp

Any legal experts here? What does this mean besides the obvious?

Thank you.

Translation: "Jermaine Jackson is a big greedy liar and just because he posts images of artists on this website, does not in any direct way mean that they will be performing at the "Tribute". lol "The Tribute" website - Legal statement is interesting... Icon_biggrin

Exactly. It sounds like the tribute wasn't going to happen either because:

1) the promoter didn't have confidence that it would happen, or 2) it was fake.

I mean, why the "loop hole"?

Also, have tickets really been sold? Is there anyone here that bought a ticket or knows someone who has?

I'm thinking about Joey Skaggs and his history of hoaxes http://www.joeyskaggs.com/html/retsub.html

He talks about the "hook", "line", and "sinker".

Also see "The Final Curtain" under year 2000 (same website).

Anyway, it feels bogus.
