Tell you the truth - this coming out of my mouth personally ... I don't think Michael was ever in Debt in the First Place .. the man is worth since 2007 - $236 Million in U.S. Dollars ... how in the H**l can you be in so much debt when you make that much in your lifetime ??????

Rock on Michael - I didn't understand how he could be in debt either - he is always jetting off to everywhere, living in castles and mansions, shopping etc. How the heck can he be in debt? How could ha have money to spend if he was in debt?

He's worth over a $billion dollars, that's not counting all his assets, land, property, his own music back catalogue, back catalogues, cars, stuff inside his house (furniture, ornaments etc) and everything else,

Isn't it funny how these 'major' stories which were being splashed everywhere are getting debunked right now? The propofol yesterday (courtesy of you, thanks hun), the financial situation today.

do we not like know that he owns the beatles catalog...owns half of sony...and theres more things to that he also sold 250 songs (fromt he beatles catalog, which had 4,000) for 95 million dollars...lol thats just a few to name...but michael can never be in debt his childrens children cant be in debt

In his catalog from the beatles he as sold some of them out to do commercials and what not. so everything those songs plays some where in the world he get a lot of money.

it was even stated tht Paul was unhappy with the way MJ was using those songs in commericals and what not.

To be fair - he owned them and he has the right to do with them as he see's fit. If he wants to use them in commercials and reap the benefits of his investment then that's up to him. Anybody else would do the same.
Heck, if Paul had gotten his greedy little hands on them he'd be doing the same if not more (I'm not a Macca fan, I'm possibly the only person in the UK who does not like Paul McCartney).
Macca is worth something around £800m+ as of 2007, so he's worth more now. I don't really think he can complain seeing as he was vying for the Beatles back catalogue too, so he would have done the same thing as Michael did.

Btw CaptainJaneway - how far into 'The Magic and The Madness' are you? I started reading it on thursday and I'm hooked although my reading time is usually on the Tube and in my lunch break - I spend most of my at-home time on here.

Me neither but he is the nation's sweetheart for some reason. I often wondered if Heather Mills' claims were true about him beating her but I can't stand her either!!!!

I am about page 400 or so in. So i am halfway there. LOl I really thought about getting a e read and the kindle because i would love to take the book with me to work on my lunch breaks but it is so darn heavy and huge!!! lol

Strange as it is i think i have the orignal book somewhere in my house because i remmber the line about fans asking the family or mj if they go to the bathroom and how embarrasing it was.

I have to see where it is.

I'm getting the Aphrodite Jones book too! I'm ordering it from Amazon, it's about the 2005 trial and how it was completely fabricated. She spent ages sifting through all the papers, court documents and evidence to give a real view of what was said in court and how full of BS it was.

I used to think she was decent enough before her craziness started during the divorce proceedings but now she's just an annoyance.
Urgh, I don't get that nation's sweetheart thing, he's a complete t*sser. I don't know if he beat her but the things you hear about him I wouldn't be surprised. I suspect that underneath that sweet exterior there is a very bitter old man. He may be the nation's sweetheart but it's John Lennon that everybody talks about and cares about, not Paul McCartney and he knows it.
But then again this is the country who treats Jade Goody like a saint - because clearly she is the only person here who has ever contracted cancer and died from it Rolling Eyes

I'm 100% with you on the Jade Goody thing. Everyone forgot that she was a bully and a racist as soon as she became ill. I never liked her form the Big Brother days. I mean why must ignorance be appreciated?!

I must say though seeing Jermaine stick up for Shilpa and quote Michael's "Man In The Mirror" when she was down is the only time I have had any respect for him. Now that has all but been erased.
